For what it’s worth, my shop has (nearly) zero foot traffic, which has not been an issue AT ALL. In fact it’s good for us, because most people aren’t walking the street hoping to find a game store, and it reduces our chances of theft and damaged products. You can find more people through effective marketing and word of mouth, than people will find you by walking in front of your business.

You are doing a great service to many people by documenting this process. So many people don't understand the complexities or the amount of money required to get a physical location up and running. I wish you luck, and I can't wait to see more!

Buying from pawnshops for consoles is so dumb. Going to get burned on broken stuff and accidentally send it to amazon.

I don't go to thrift stores assuming to find video games anymore. If I do, great, but most of the time, there either isn't any, no great titles, and/or there overpriced. Honestly, I am doing my e-commerce business a disservice if I go to thrift stores at this point in my reselling journey. At the end of the day, I have to focus on the sourcing strategies that consistently work. Basically, go where the product is in heavy concentration and thrift store are never that destinations for video games or other categories even. The thrift store is low hanging fruit. It's too easy to find. There is no advantage having that be your main source. The only time I go is basically as a guilty pleasure with my family or because I was in the area, but I even question if that is a good use of my time.

in the detroit metro area. Went to 50 different sales. Have not found 1 game worth a dang to buy. All sports games. Also skylanders is 19.99 on ebay for just the game... Learn to comp pricing correctly.

"15:45" I wouldn't sleep on PSP Go stuff. I sold an official PSP Go soft shell case in the past that was sealed in the plastic clam shell for over $100. I believe the PSP Go has a notable modding community that keeps that console relevant even to this day. It's possibly considered the best PSP to mod if I'm not mistaken. I wouldn't call it a dead console by any means.
