64 Fairlane, I was there in 64 and I do know what they made in HP in 64. And 600 was nowhere in line with Today yes but not in 64. And don't get all up in the air. Because when the BBC engine came out a 427 ford had to take the badk seat. Now I will say that the 427 Ford was the only engine that Ford had that ever got any respect out of me. Remember we are talking about 1964. I'm 66 and I was mechanic at the Chevy garage in my home town in 64. And we drag races about ever night and at the strip.
