Travelling to Targovishte & Tests For Anisha
In the place where we live, during typhoon season, we have had power cut and water shortage for a whole week. We have a generator and a water tank and we are used to deal with it.
At least you're experienced with it then, that's good
Late to the stream but wondering - who planted the potatoes?
Hi, we did of course haha 😆
Awesome! I'd love to have one of those, but it would need a greenhouse for sure.
Definitely!
Can I just say thank you very much for all your videos on the living day to day stuff that a lot of others don’t put on👍, My wife and I are coming over in May to VT start our own property search and all you videos have been very helpful thanks again👍 you are doing a fantastic job well done 👏
Thanks dave, we tried to be as transparent as we could of our experiences etc. glad you enjoyed the videos and best of luck on your venture 😁
Great adventure 😊
😊Lovely day to you friend great walk in the woods😊
Good work!
I suppose looking at this video a skill set or four are missing, but then ive done this kind of thing before. I have seen the water issues and they are much wider than people think. There is no damp proof course so near water will soak back into the walls. Any restoration starts at the roof and then the windows. Once you get that done you'll find things that much easier. Yes toilet and bathroom are a priority!!!😮 The velux was interesting as i have done resto's and the flashing dont go over the tiles, there are two kits. But the roofing i done differently there and why there are so many problems with the roofs. Due to the way thungs are (materials) im thinking of shipping supply's for me as i dont think you cna grt a lot of stuff there that we know works and has certain standards. So planning already the 27.5 hour drive in my Van 😅 I've watched a few of your videos, but not followed the whole start to finish. You have done well and learnt a lot. But then thata freedom and experience that you would have never had, and you can look back on it in years to come as youre young enough. My journey is just starting and tbh its a bit scary. Im older and a bit falling a part.
Thanks for the comments and glad to know that some things align and best of luck on your adventure 🙏
Great work Archie 👍
Hi guys, send you an e-mail on the 10th of september, never received an answer. Did you receive the e-mail?
Hi, sorry to only just see this. I'm afraid the inbox we have for the channel is rarely monitored because of our inactivity and I can't seem to find your email 🤦😔
Tx for your reply, should I resend?
Good one!
Enjoyed this one very much! What a hard working lovely couple you are! from Viv in Berkshire England xx
Thanks Viv ☺️ x
Very disappointed that you are no longer in Bulgaria.
Us too Susan, is too. 😬
Great Vid, thanks
Ive just bought a property in a small village around the pavlikeni area. Its ready to live in but there is a ln extension that needs completing and a few cracks here and there that needs fixing. Im sooo nervous about it all for some reason 😅 i wont be living there as i have responsibilities back home so just struggling to figure out how i will be managing it. Not asking for anything here besides a few words of encouragement 🥰
Well it sounds like you've got a great opportunity ahead of you, and the fact it's ready to move in and habitable is just fantastic, as long as you have the mindset that things get dusty before they get better then you'll be fine and have loads of fun along the way 🙂
Good luck in "perfect Uk".We Bulgarians survive in this system. The problem that you not learned language and integrated is your mistake.
We take responsibility for that 🙏 UK has it's advantages but it's far from perfect lol
Are you going back to Bulgaria
We wish to return permanently again one day, but it doesn't like it's going to be soon 😔
So wath is the progress did suvive winter
Unfortunately not 😬
If had 110k could I retire
To say that's, give or take 1:2 exchange from pounds to Lev. You're looking at 250k Lev's (rounding up) which could easily be ten years with a nice yearly budget for renovations, and living. It would be a comfortable lifestyle depending on your preferences and choices
Are u going back to Bulgaria ?????
It doesn't look like it's on the cards for us to move back permanently until at least for a few years unfortunately.
Hi Mark .. thinking of moving over to Bulgariain soon ,what was the shipping charges like to move all the stuff you had in the room ? Watched a few of your episodes already but out of sequence. Your an example of what can happen if you really want something
In total we paid around £1500 in total to courier all our personal belongings and tools/ furniture from the UK to BG. Thanks for the positive response 🙂
Waller here, well done for giving the craft a go. One tip: stone length into the wall. ❤
Just found this. Thanks for sharing guys.
Keep going guys. Well done and have patience, because Bulgarian is very difficult language.
Such a pleasure watching your progress ,hand made gifts are the best especially from friends and family, all the best with the next chapter as a parents.
Thank you 🙏
Really glad that you had so much fun ,I think goodness and kindness is a universal currency that we can exchange worldwide.
You're 100% right there!
Brilliant stone work it is all blending with the garden thanks for sharing your lovely journey ,keep the good work up.
Fantastic progress you can tell it is a labour of love ,congratulations the nest is almost ready for the little one, thanks for sharing .
Thanks for watching 😊
Is it possible to get a job in the uk to work online , say answering emails, or chat bot queries but be stationed in Bulgaria? Or won't English companies allow it? Or could you travel to the uk for 3 ir 4 months , work in construction and head back for another 8 months?
I think it's definitely possible and it's something similar to what I'm considering setting up in order to have a more guaranteed steady income for when we return permanently. It all depends on the company but there are definitely opportunities there for sure!!
A proper gravel lined driveway, congratulations!
My wife and I moved to Bulgaria from the US in the summer of 2021 and bought a house in the village of Goren Chiflik in the Varna region. We have great neighbors and a lovely home with a large garden, what else could you ask for? If you decide to move to a different region, you would certainly be welcome here!
That really means a lot thank you 😊 and it's so good to hear you've found the perfect paradise 🙂
Hello. Congratulations for your son. When you planning to go back to Bulgaria? I enjoyed to see you there.... There is another British family with 2 little kids living on your region, in village close to Popovo. They have got a chanel as well. I think it was Phoenix, Phoenix family from north Yorkshire.... Regards from Lincoln where I live from years, but Bulgaria is my country of origin.😊
Firstly thanks for watching our videos and we're glad you enjoyed them. We do hope to return and live out there permanently again but it will be a few years until this is feasible unfortunately. We have spoken to Laura and Anthony many times, they are great to watch and are very down to earth family ☺️
You need generator for the electricity. So, you can switch on where need.... Wi-Fi accelerator in the house for the death spots... For the limescale you can put limescale filters on the main pipe.... Regards from the UK, from Bulgarian living already 22 years in Lincoln. But I dreaming my lovely Bulgaria when I visit each year. But I definitely will came back one day.
Dark skin, unshaven, working in the garden and construction site with Crocs and shorts? And a very white wife? "Mate", you're an authentic Bulgarian through and through whether you realize it ir not.
How much is car insurance and tax is it expensive
All depends on the vehicle. At the time of this video, we didn't drive or have that as an outgoing so can't really help to be honest. Maybe in the range of 500 Lev for the year would probably suffice.
@@MarkandAnisha That's brilliant thankyou 🙂
Yes, about 500lv per year should suffice for an old car, below 100hp. Mandatory 3rd party liability insurance is about 360-400lv, tax for an old and unpowerful vehicle is about 20-40lv, and MOT (annual technical inspection) is 90lv these days (it skyrocketed lately for some legislation reasons).
Yes, when are you coming back? I hope all is well with you all.
We hope to be visiting the house later on in the year, but to live permanently again is under a lot of discussion. We're trying to establish ourselves better to be more prepared for staying out there again 🙂
@@MarkandAnisha Thank you for your reply, Mark. I appreciate it. Best wishes from Susan in East Yorkshire.
when are you going back to bulgaria ?
We hope to be visiting the house later on in the year, but to live permanently again is under a lot of discussion. We're trying to establish ourselves better to be more prepared for staying out there again 🙂
It is wonderful to see you 3 are trogeter and doing fun stuf outside instead both working and daycare in a cashless society spending most time inside concrete boxes. The neat-freak in me, thought you where going to wipe the back of the sign to clean it. Haha. Love the channel.
Thank you 🥰
you no longer live in Bulgaria? What happened?
Hi, after complications with the healthcare system whilst Anisha was pregnant, we returned to the UK to start the family unit and relay foundations for the next chapter. We aim to return to BG once we're more prepared 🙂
@@MarkandAnisha what issues did you face or expect to face? I'm Bulgarian, if I can help or give advise, let me know and I'm sure many people will help, if you need assistance ?
I really admire the courage you’ve had to do this. I’ve spent years looking at houses in Bulgaria, always thought it would be impossible until I came across your channel and few others. We run an estate agency in the uk, working 7 days a week 12 hours a day and it’s exhausting for very little reward. Funnily enough My brother in law is the ceo of Strikex which is a crypto project, he has investment with Peter cruddas of CMC. So we’re hoping our coins will blow up one day and we can live wherever we want and not have to work. Thanks for giving me some inspiration!
Thanks for the supportive comments, it looks like the bull run is beginning so good looking with your projects 😀
That's not possible
Hey guys, your project is looking amazing. I'm still currently making my way through from the oldest. Quick random question: If I skip adverts, do you guys still gain youtube stats/payment? I don't want to skip if it doesn't count for you guys, I would rather watch them and support
Although we still do, receive revenue from the videos it isn't a high percentage. It's completely up to you whether you wish to skip or not, but no revenue is gained from our viewers skipping the ads. Thanks for your continued support 🙏
Wonderful! I get the feeling you're located in the North-Center or North-East of Bulgaria. Looks amazing.
Pretty good guess, we're in the veliko tarnovo region 🙂
That's so much for the money isn't it ... Beautiful 😍
Haha kicking the tennants out lol ... Really interesting thankyou
Enjoy every moment life's for living 🙂
Omg, you phonies measure a new low in clickbaiting. You know what a poverty line is? You know what the value for Bulgaria is? 323€ *per person*, in 2023. That's when you literally barely survive month to month. But then there's you, the anti-consumerist couple, that has somehow splashed more on their bloody Tesla than they have spent buying and finishing that house, trying to convince the world it is not only doable, but a breeze. Well, 600 000 Bulgarians who live below the poverty line, that in case someone has missed it, is >2 times what you say you live on *as a couple*, beg to differ. While starving and freezing that is. But I guess you are all right, they are just faking it for drama.
Love to see a happy family out doing what they love!
Thanks Colline 🥰
