As the conversation around dealing with violence against women and children once again takes center stage, I wanted us a society to consider the intersectionality of social entrepreneurship and gender based violence. Through the lens of the LUSA community chest, an NPO based in the Midvaal region, we get to understand how their Generation@ program running in primary schools picks up young learners who have suffered sexual abuse, connects them with a social worker who can assist with trauma counselling but also trains and equips teachers to be able to work more effectively with learners who have suffered abuse.
