The APSS Spitfire Simulator

Coming soon, the Spitfire cockpit simulator very similar to the one that the Battle of Britain Memorial flight has. All instruments and controls are 3-D printed.

Short of what I want to see. Just wasting my time.
Thanks, I did not know about that!
Man life must of been hard back then
Press and hold the mode button for more than 5 seconds
Hot weather, cool flight sim, cool band.
This plane has had a lot of "first starts"
I hope this isn't a Rotec radial.
Beautiful to see a Strutter strutting once more.
Great version of »The time is now«🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations! Beautiful airplane. 👍🏻
Sopwith 1 1/2 strutter?
Flew over from the UK for this . Great gig . Still can’t work out what the green tokens given to me were for ? 🤷
109, 110, Hey Mike, wanna go get lunch with me? No thanks, i already ate. Um... 8, 9... 😂😂😂
Lol! You'd need to have handwound coils to appreciate your humor. I know I did.
Could you not take the orange rubber piece out all together?.
No because it's a non return valve. It would take time for the water to be pumped up to the jet and the wipers would be wiping dirt dry.
What a year
Get her where she belongs!
👍👍👍
That paper tube is not really strong enough. Too easily damaged.
Made one as a child 60 years ago used a toilet paper tube with a couple coats of shellac. Didn't have the galena and cats wisker used a razor blade and a safety pin with a piece of pencil lead attached. you mounted the blade and the safety pin such that the lead touched the blade and moved it about til the sound of a local station was heard. Otherwise it was very like this in construction.
Rotec radial, prepare for issues and no support. Horrible engine 😢
She is a beautiful British World War I plane🇬🇧❤️
What's the diameter of card board tubing? It seems 2" to me. You are I guess using 28 SWG, if I'm not wrong?
A bit smaller than the Lanc my brother's working on a East Kirkby Lincs.🤣
cat and dog chilling together, who would have thought that as a child, that it can work :D
Just crazy...
Utterlyamazing guys!!! Well done all of you!
Put the wings back on and fly it home, , , ,
Onwards and upwards 👍

I soldered for my work for over 20years , rosin cored lead solder, either try tip a bit hotter or perhaps a heavier tip, have heard the lead free soldervisnt as friendly. Im aboutvto go back to basics and build onr from scrap and crap,, im qquite excited 🤔
Hi Mike thank you for your video. I have a similar model and mine is completely blocked. Do you think I should take it to Honda?
I've build many crystal radios and there's only one type that uses (two) variable capacitors that works well. The simple wiper style is what I recommend for most folks.
seems old mate
Tenho um em excelente estado aceito oferta
Excellent Mike! 🙂
I've had the same issue. I followed your tips and trimmed the rubber washer...now working. Bad design Honda😢 This is an update - I've now fitted aftermarket items which work much better. I've created a video like yours - Search for "Blocked windscreen washer jets on Honda Civic mk10 2017. Quick fix."
One thing I did find out, if you hold onto the old washer, jet the rubber piece dries out, and the jet works fine again. I had replaced a jet and kept the faulty one with the car to drop into a dealer and show them but didn’t get to the dealer for about two months. When I did, I took a large syringe and a piece of pipe to demonstrate the issue the jet worked perfectly, quite a surprise to be honest.
I am sick to death of these washer jets stopping working, they do last about 6 month then need changing. I was hoping I could find a reason but seems to be they just need changed constantly.

I've had my 2017 civic for 2 years and I'm about to put my 4th set of new jets on it, they don't last 8 months. Very annoying, Honda did say to use deionized water - not tap water.
Honda are having a laugh if they insist on deionised water. That’s just a cop out. Poor show from a company that prides itself on quality. I should know, I worked for them for 20 years!
I had that problem. Took the jet off and drilled out the rubber. Worked fine after.
Wow! That’s fascinating 😂😂😂
I do a similar thing with my 600 hornet but have just fitted a longer vacuum hose between the inlet manifold and the tap. This has a straight connector which I disconnect and suck on the hose to activate the diaphragm, then join back up after 30 seconds or so. The long hose is then pushed under the tank. Good to see it is a common problem, maybe I won't rebuild my carbs now.
Thanks really good stuff God bless
Saw them for the third time & it was disappointing really. Lead guitar wasn't great but Great Gig in the Sky lady was superb.
Very excited to see this fly!
Thanks for showing this. I'm playing with a transmitter from parts at the moment. Notice how it didn't require power. In a sense they were less stupid back then. That's why it's a good idea to look into. I found a mono amp board at the size of 3x3x1 cm more or less in China (eBay) and it's quite useful as I power it from USB/5 Volts. It gives a good punch for mono setups for simple stuff. I didn't predict that I would use a little amp so much. It goes from one place to another all the time.
Looks like you have a unit from the 1920's or so! A friend of mine builds "Replicas" of old sets from plans published way back then! It's very difficult to get hold of an original "High Impedence" type of headphones. So, sadly most of us have to resort to those cheap, low quality earphones made in china. Some seem to work okay, while others don't work at all. GOOD LUCK.
You can use modern headphones using a small impedance matching transformer in reverse.
