She wasn't frustrated with the audience it was the gloves she was frustrated with. You aren't even paying attention to the fact that she was struggling with the gloves around 4:20 to 5:20. Why would she be frustrated with the audience if she knows people would freak out over a known pop star? 🤦🏾‍♂️ That makes no sense

@@jjvancen No it's an emotional song and the audience made it very difficult, stop face palming everyone lol. You're not that deep. It's her one performance with the gloves so she makes some mistakes but you can see her general nervousness and frustration with the long pauses of that song being used as a screaming break. She knew it was gonna happen but you hope that after a few big pauses, people would get the message.

She paused because there are long pauses in the song 🤦🏾‍♂️ I feel like you should know this. There's literally pauses in any song. This one just happens to be a cappella Plus it's obviously hard to control those gloves, she messed up like 3 times between 4:20 - 5:20

yeah the audience is just screaming during the long pauses, it's in mexico and in front of superfans so I'm not gonna criticize a bunch of young girls for how they enjoy it, but yeah, really powerful song with lots of pauses and her fame just makes it really hard to do it with the effective silence needed. I think the reason she looks so emotional and nervous is because it's already a very emotionally exposed song, super gentle and touchy chorus, and the fans are just too excited and young to let the song breathe.

My question's where is the studio version?

2 years late here, but as someone who has used modern in ears in the past 20 years, you actually almost can't even hear the crowd except just a wee little bit through mic bleed. The reason she was having to stop was just natural errors with the gloves. It happens. Imogen has also periodically had to restart songs, too. Part of the game in live music. Especially with that kind of advanced tech and (in Imogen's case) using a whole mess of loops and things that require very specific timing.

She's just doing Imogen Heap, Imogen even did the glove thing live years ago. I mean you can love and respect her but check out Imogen Heap doing the same song with the same gloves - Ariana changes nothing and puts none of herself into it - it's like an American Idol 'cover'

@@KaceyRepublic I think Ariana is the only person outside of Imogen, at least when this came out, that had tried it with the gloves. She also covers Just for Now with a loop station. This isn't about erasing imogen's contributions, in fact Ariana loving imogen and covering her and Derulo sampling hide and seek is all good for imogen's exposure to an american audience. So mad respect to Ariana for doing this, I believe Imogen was at this show which is why Ariana knows how to use the gloves a little bit and has them here.
