My light is typically on the highest setting and flashing. The light is for your safety, but you may have the mount upside down and it could be shining in their eyes. Try flipping the mount, maybe that will solve the problem. 👍🏾👍🏾

If your really Premed, you’ll be spending $$$ on a bike at some point. My first road bike was a Domane AL3 and I’ve since heavily upgraded to a Domane SLR7 with some additional upgrades. It’s a natural progression honestly. Depending on how much you ride, you may outgow the Aluminum bike and want something better, with better gearing, that’s lighter weight, etc.

@@Jetta32696 You are right its a natural progression. I only had my Domane AL 5 for about a month and already I feel I can take a harder cassette and that I will progress further. But I will learn all the basics on this Domane first before getting a carbon fiber Trek. Cycling is a beautiful thing if you get the right bike for you it will ride like a dream and you can cycle almost every day. Love your channel

@@SleepDisorderedBreathing Thank you!! I appreciate the feedback!! Your Domane AL5 has Shimano 105, no? You're already geared for most typical road cycling. When I upgraded, I went from 9 speed Tiagra to 11 speed Ultegra Di2. You've already got an 11 speed drivetrain. Only noticeable advantages for you upgrading to a carbon bike with a newer drivetrain will be weight savings. If/when you're ready, go for it, but do some research first. Good luck and stay safe!!

@@Jetta32696 you’re welcome! Yes my Domane has 105 so I want to try everything under the sun with it, races and off-road. I don’t know much about cycling so I was surprised when you said that I only advantages to a new bike would be weight savings; I will then make the most out of my 105. My next upgrade is to lose 40 pounds 😂 how long have you had your aluminum bike before you went up to the SLR?

@@SleepDisorderedBreathing 😂😂😂😂 at the 40 pounds. I lost about 50 my first year of cycling, but was also riding much more. I had my AL3 for about 10 months before upgrading. Bought the AL3 not knowing there were 8-12 speed gearing options. Wanted a Black DOMANE SL6 but a friend got one… 🙄🙄 …didn’t want a bike that looked like a friend’a bike. Also went with the AL3 because it fit my budget at the time….

@@Jetta32696 I am a 28 yr Army Retiree with several combat tours and it reminds me of driving in Iraq. Keep your head on a swivel and that periphery vision wide and tuned in. Looking at your video - you are doing that in spades.

Thanks T!! Many local cyclists need to be out there to add some structure to their riding. On Sunday Corey had us rolling like a well oiled machine from Edison to Rahway using bits of what was mentioned at this practice/training session.

First time for me, looking forward to more training. Put the lil bit I learned together with a group on Sunday and we cruised at 22-24 mph with minimal effort. It was amazing!!

@@Techtastic1337 MY journey to this color was about 6-8 months in the making. Had a 2021 Black/Gray SL7, then the 2021 Amethyst/Brushed Silver SL7, the 2022 Psychedelic Marble is my final destination for a while. Only thing I could upgrade further are 12 speed Ultegra (no need for Dura-Ace), a better wheelset and/or ceramic bottom bracket… I plan on riding this frame until I can’t ride it anymore - OR Trek comes out with a color scheme I like more.

Pro 3V hubs are not DT Swiss internals. They are Formula OEM, Rapid Drive. Working through repair vs replace at the moment….

@@rangerk9 Thanks! The bike will go as fast as my almost 50 year old legs will push it. It's not as fast as the Madone or Emonda, but it's waaaaaay more comfortable.

@@Jetta32696 I feel ya! I am 54 and have had a bunch of surgeries and treatments so, I am slower than snail snot moving uphill on a cold day. But, I love bicycles. Been riding since 1984. Used to race a lot through High School and Kollidge. Put it aside with 28 yrs in the Army - but, got back into it after my second hip replacement in 2012. Been riding ever since. I ride a Trek Domane E+ and HP Veloteknik recumbent trike (use it to walk my dogs since I can’t walk very far). I also use my trike to grocery shop and run errands. I think bikes have the ability to change our world for the better and bring peace to our broken human world. That is why I love your channel and the rides that you and your “tribe” do! It’s refreshing to see people getting together and having one common denominator = riding and enjoy the creations around us. Both human and natural. Keep pedaling and moving us toward a better humanity! And, yes - they gave you the bike! ;-). Appreciate you and your channel!

@@rangerk9 Totally agree. I too have ridden most of my life with about 10-12 year hiatus. Cycling has been a lifesaver for me. Lost a bunch of weight since the start of the pandemic. It’s definitely bringing a lot of people together. As for the rides I go on, I ride with anyone who invites me out. The last long distance group ride I did was with a bunch of white cyclists and only one other black cyclist. I was on a rental bike or there would be a video of that ride… 🤷🏽‍♂️😂
