    1:08 seconds in...based AF. Subbed Stellar Blade is just a fun game. Shout out to Abyss Levoire battle theme and Maelstrom two very hype tracks. Editing was solid and the sound quality was great.

    Nah, as a Stellar Blade enjoyer myself, the game is nowhere near masterpiece tier imo, it’s just a solid action game with hot ladies and pretty meh story. I think if they polish things up, SB2 could be one of those all time great games. For a studio’s first attempt at an action game it’s impressive, but it shows this is that this is the first one they’ve made lol.

    Stellar Blade The game with no microtransactions that SHOULD'VE had them (i wanna pay more fr and i'm only gonna be ok with 2 MTX options that there is a possibility both may happen: 1) Licensed outfit (you know the one, it might happen cos it did in their past) 2) More levels and bosses Expansion is more bearable than a sequel rn, my thirst needs to be quenched fr, Furi, Sekiro and now this are not enough. I need more banger worlds, with unique visuals being CARRIED by their soundtracks and a healthy focus on methodical fast paced parry system. 2/2 on devs i chose to support their first game on a console, i'm still buying Atomic Heart DLCs cos i got a Bioshock type crave too

    Good to see a perceptive take on Eve's character development for a change. I get the impression that too many reviewers were not actually paying attention during their playthrough: probably looking at Eve's lovely bottom rather than reading the memory sticks and notices.

    Me hearing about Stellar Blade: “It’s a janky PS2 game that somehow got made in the modern era. Good gameplay, *terrible* story.” Me: Alright, I’m down for that. Me after finishing Stellar Blade’s true ending: It was everything I wanted with terrible voice acting, a DMC3-style credits fight and surprisingly deep symbolism and foreshadowing that went right over my fucking head the first time through. Janky PS2 game indeed. 10/10, game of the year, no lie.

      I wouldn’t say the story is out right “terrible” more like (ITS OK) tier story but when you do some of the side quest like Enya & Su , Oblivion , Lyle & Arin’s , Kaya’s , End of an Nightmare and read some of its lore the story is pretty darn good It’s a 7/10 - 3/5 in terms of story for me at least the a lot quest does the heavy lifting for its story the story would be a 6/10 or a 5/10 without them

      @@ChakLokfor me the storytelling is perfect. For those who aren't interested in the world at all the story will be kinda plain but for those who want to know more and will deep dive into the world the story itself aswell as characters together. The more you want to know the better and more logical everything seems in this world. It's a different take on storytelling but I'm tired of telling everything directly in games/movies. I like titles where you need to think and annalise more

    What a beautiful video. I've loved fighting games since I was 12, starting with Tekken 5, now 28 I'm finally starting to compete and doing my best to get better now that there's an actual scene in my region. I struggle a lot with my self worth when I keep losing, mostly due to my own mistakes, I suffer from severe depression and anxiety and I'm desperate to get good at this to reinforce my self worth, I noticed I'm hardly enjoying it anymore, I'm so obsessed with being good that I forgot to just enjoy my favorite genre. Fighting games are special, it's a genre where you're the only one responsible for your success and growth, and it takes time and effort, but when you do get that win with your favorite character, there's nothing better than that. Fighting games, is something...so great.

    I had button mashed before and dabbled around for a long time. Never really trying to actually learn. And then a game came out that i thought looked really cool and a few of my friends where playing it. And that was the original Granblue Vs. With all it's glorious delay base and all. And I thought "Man...I want to actually get better at this". And it was like a light in my brain was light up. Fighting games as a genre and community slowly became something that i wholeheartedly love. Which is why I always try to get other people to play. You never know what game will be that spark they need to invest in one of the greatest gaming experiences.

    Mk11 also got me into learning fighting games. The difference is my button mashing phase was mk1, mk2, sf2, mk3, and eventually mk9. I'm 37 lol. But mk9 gave me a hint of competitive fighting games while I was engrossed with starcraft 2. But mk11 changed everything. I play sf6 every day now and wish I had more time for mk1 and even tekken8 tho I have so much to learn there. I love it.

    Great video. It’s awesome that fighting games helped you break out of your shell a little. I started going to locals over two years ago, and I made some really good friends. Also, I swear, the perceived difficulty of the genre is mostly an illusion. A series that really helped me understand how these games are played is The Dojo from Super Couch Fighters and The Street Fighter V videos from Weekend Warriors. They’re really funny and unique in that they’re teaching a newcomer.

    I have no idea how long this is going to be, but I want to get this off my chest, first and foremost. Something that has been the biggest struggle for me when it comes to fighting games is the feeling that no matter how much time I put into one, I will never be good enough at a fighting game,and the irrational but unshakeable anxiety that other people will think less of me for doing poorly at a fighting game. This has always been a struggle for me ever since I started playing fighting games more competitively. I used to play fighting games with my cousin and while I would generally have fun for the most part, he was a super cocky and pride-filled brat. Whenever I would beat him at a fighting game, he would always throw a fit and yell at me or rub any victory he got in my face.This caused me to get very defensive whenever I would lose a round. This habit still hasn't left me and leads to me being very hair triggered whenever I lose a match, thinking the same will happen whenever I lose a match in a fighting game. I know this isn't true, yet I can never get these thoughts to leave my head. This has also led to me feeling inferior in a fighting game, since I guess some of the words he would use actually got to me, since this was at a relatively young age (he still gets mad when he loses, but doesn't gloat anymore, if you're wondering.) I will lose a match, and either get defensive and start making excuses as to why I lost or start to feel like im not good enough at said fighting game, and it will kill my mood when playing said game. these thoughts have been a huge problem for me and one of the reasons I have half stopped playing fighting games online. I really want to try and enjoy these games, and I do with friends, but the moment I go online, I start to get mega defensive over losing to strangers who probably don't even care that they won. I want to find a way to stop this mindset from occurring since I know no one cares if I lose but myself, but I jsut cant subconsciously shake these thoughts from my mind. sorry for this whole ass essay, but it really does feel good to get this off my chest. Thanks for reading this far if you did.

    I still can't understand how someone could say Strive is a good indtroduction to fighting games. Absolute nuts! The game is incredibly complex and not cohesive at all, full of weird but important details, loads of meters, symbols and notifications making noise right on your face during the matches, and an absolute noob killer. Even Tekken allows newbies to mash buttons and do something. Granblue Rising is the opossite. It just instantly makes sense, and the simple inputs are fully integrated with the gameplay, it is challenging without being cryptic. IMO the best for entering into the hobby. Just fantastic design.

    • @ToughWookie
      @ToughWookie 5 місяців тому

      Granblue is definitely a great starter to fighting games! I was surprised nobody said that compared to guilty gear. The main reason I heard guilty gear was a great beginner fighter was because of how fast the games go due to how high the damage in combos were. I personally don’t see how that of all things makes it easier but I heard that reasoning a lot!

    • @whahala555
      @whahala555 5 місяців тому

      @@ToughWookie The games going fast because of high damage combos is the worst reasoning for something being beginner friendly that I've ever heard.

    • @ToughWookie
      @ToughWookie 5 місяців тому

      @@whahala555 that’s what I thought too. Something about losing a good chunk of your health to like an 8-9 hit combo was a big turn off for me when I started guilty gear. So I couldn’t see how that reasoning factored in.

    • @kuro_mori_vt
      @kuro_mori_vt 4 місяці тому

      @@ToughWookieThe big reason it was considered the best starting game was because it was WAY simpler than every other fighting game except Granblue(which did not have rollback netcode, so many people would never consider playing it once strive dropped). It's far more complex now than when it started. The "hardest" character in the game on launch was Zato, and barely anyone under an advanced level played him. No bridget, happy chaos, asuka, jack-o, almost ALL of the difficult characters and weird mechanics came in way later on, so it's unfortunately the case of "this game used to be really easy, now it's not", and a lot of the players don't recognize how hard all the new moves and mechanics are for new players to wrap their heads around TLDR; Granblue dead bc netcode bad, SFV bad netcode, Blazblue too complex, Xrd too complex, every game bad netcode EXCEPT strive, and it's second easiest fighter at time of release. People dont realize the game has gotten harder bc they played since launch, no longer easiest game. Perception is still looking at when they first learned.

    I find it funny how I literally have the exact same journey as you. Started mashing in injustice 2 and then Mk11 was my first real fighting game I took seriously. I mained Noob and it was super fun landing his combos. I think I only got to around Master in MK11 but then I got bored of the game cuz the gameplay was just not very good. And then I played Blazeblue CF when the rollback came out but i wanted to play something more popular so I transitioned to Guilty Gear Strive playing Pot for a few months. When SF6 came out I started playing that as my first SF. It was super fun playing SF granted I played Luke and Ken, which were top tier so I had a easier time, but I was also extremely proud of making Masters as that was the first time I made a high rank in a fighting game. After that I played Granblue maining Vira and Granblue was considerably easier to get into than other fighting games imo. Oh I also played MK1 but I didn’t enjoy it as much and dropped it quite quickly. Now I am playing Tekken 8 as my first 3D game and it’s been a blast since 3D games are so different from the other fighting games I’ve played. I am super proud of my rank in Mighty Ruler and I play mainly Lili and Reina, but I realize that obviously ppl rank up at different paces so I think my rank is more like if someone new can make it to purple than so can you. Overall I’d say that fighting games are now my favourite genre of games and I do believe playing them has had a positive affect on my mindset and for that I am just so glad to have the pleasure of discovering this genre of games.

      I’m making a video about my experience with Tekken 8 for this month! It’s my first 3D fighting game so I definitely wanna give my perspective on it! 👍🏾

    Really heartwarming story! Fighting games are amazing and the FGC can be one of the most welcoming and patient communities in gaming.

    I've been playing some form of fighting game for 10 years, and this sounds like bullshit but I swear it's made me better at gaming as a whole AND a better driver. The principles of neutral are everywhere if you know to look for them

      They definitely make your mental better in my opinion. Especially when it comes to things like adapting and making quick decisions under pressure
