What is Rope Access?
We often get asked what Rope Access means and where do you use these skills. From tower work to window cleaning, from rigging & hoisting in museums to wind farms and a host of other situations, rope access is a technique for using a two rope system to gain easier and safer access to hard to reach positions at height. Certified rope access technicians hold the safest record by a significant margin as compared to other industries at height.
Have a look at the video we recently produced and please give us a ring with any questions.
Special thanks goes out to: Rope & Rescue, Buckingham Manufacturing, Wings over the Rockies museum, Altitude Structures, CMI and the instructors of Safety One International Inc.

We recently completed another advanced class with some of our emergency responder clients and wanted to share some footage. This was filmed in Leadville, CO and machines included the Hagglunds BV 206's and a Tucker 1600 series snow cat. The training lasted over two days and included night operations. Operating techniques included descending extreme terrain, hill climbing, side hilling and extri...

We made this video for all of the climbers in the tower industry who believe in safety. Nick Bassarab and Todd Horning from Safety One Training Inc. climb to the top of a 1700 foot tall tower to change a couple light bulbs while using 100% attachment the whole time. www.safetyoneinc.com for more information on safe climbing and work at height practices. Nice thing about this height is one has time to think about how they screwed up before they hit the ground. My hands are beat from arthritis and I drop small things so I'm more topside support or ground crew these days. It's great work for young people and I'd recommend it.

Great video! God bless y'all for what you do and for being as safe as you can while doing it. I just watched part of a video about free climbing a broadcast tower. Not impressed that no safety equipment was used and I didn't give it a Like because I don't want to encourage that. No excuse for not using some kind of safety line although I still appreciate the work he did.

I take my hat off to guys like you for have the conkers to dare do that, haha. I am not scared of heights so long as I feel safe, but I know I would not feel safe relying on a rope and my own arms and legs to stop me falling. That's one hell of a lightbulb change. I imagine with LED bulbs that you no longer have to do this so often?

1700’, starts with 1600’ elevator ride to the top. “Free climbing is a misrepresentation of the industry.”Don’t be a pussy. Leave your purse on the ground when climb and you will be just fine. If you can’t climb without your purse, you have no business up on that tower. Facts.

Getting up would be relatively chill. It’s the coming down part that I would not like. I’d honestly prefer to base jump off even though you can’t even remotely do that.
