What a helpful video.. Thank you so much.
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for touching on this critical issue, we seem to have neglected this issue and focused mainly on COVID 19
This is an amazing presentation.
this is an interesting area of study! it should progress the condition of the learning environment and how it accommodates all the students, especially those who are put in positions of leadership amongst their peers.
it could be
Come on girl, black people are more poor and badly treated than Coloureds. The fact that SA is led by a black government means nothing to the black majority because they serve the white and indian minorities
Free speech.
Holy sigma, that was so demure, out of ohio
until theres real proof id say it was just made up to sell comic books
❤❤

Wow❤
Coloureds are not a homogenous group. And within the coloured community colourism is a major issue just like in the Indian community. The darker you are the lower you rank in the pecking order. Even within the same family - allegedly.
@harveyfuqua6633 this is spot on! The Coloured community is definitely such a diverse social group and you are right, within the community Colourisma and Classism have really become a social-ill that is not helping the community at all.
How thoughtful, thank you for the wisdom🙏
Crazy stuff these people.
@user-wx7ms3bl7w I am unsure if I understand your comment but thank you for sharing your opinion!
voetsjek
by identifying as"COLOURED" WE ACKNOWLEGDE ALL OUR ANCESTORS, not just the black or white or KhoiSan or Asian or Indian or any of the ethnicities, that we are made up of.Depending onwhich part of the country you come from, the admixture tends to differ.
Wow @ronaldwiley8357 I FULLY agree with you on this one! This is exactly what my paper tries to bring to light: we are all different though we belong to one Coloured identity in South Africa. The diverse reality of being Coloured in South Africa is tied with which region you are from in the country, existing scholarship on the identity tends to focus mostly on the Cape and the social reality of Cape Coloureds. But I try to shift the focus to other parts of S.A, such as the Eastern Cape, Makhanda and the lived experiences of being Coloured in smaller towns with predominantly isiXhosa people.
This guy is the brilliant; the future is here👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Sista, there's no climate crisis! It's a humongous globalist con!

Heh. I felt it's aura from miles away. Dattebayo!!!
RIZZ!
This is an interesting project brother, because i noticed that blacks and coloured are mostly seen as sameness. As a result, most of the literature uses black and colored interchangeably forgetting that blacks and colours do not share same culture, experience and identity. To an extent that of South African debates are Zebra colours, there are white and black people (With an assumption that coloured and black are sameness). However, i would like to ask brother, in your research do you identify coloured community as Khoi and San community or you took a different term or understand in studying the coloured people? Have a blessed reseach.
@aphelelemeintjies2979 thank you so much for your comment and blessings, It truly means so much! I agree with you that most of the debates in history and throughout South Africa have somewhat erased the lived experiences of those who identify as Coloured. In my thesis, I try to go back to the 17th C and show the diverse history and possible lineages that made what we know today as the Coloured identity, Khoi and San is definitely part of it but I try not to solely base my analysis on the Khoi and San experience.
@@lianmay5050 All the best.
This is an interesting project, however, i would like to ask sisi how can we decolonize these western archives which i believe that you are arguing that they are not inclusive and integrate the living archives in the mordern spaces?
COULERDS ARE NOT BLACKS, END OF STORY
@user-wm8lo8ko3g Thank you for your opinion on the Coloured identity in South Africa, I respect it and am open to understanding your perspective.
you are the least educated group. Nothin to be proud of.
IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN THE PAST THERE WILL NOT BE A FUTURE FOR YOU. I AM WORKING TOGETHER WITH COLOUREDS AND BLACKS AND HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THEM AND THEY WITH ME. HOW CAN YOU EVER EXPECT TO GO FORWARD IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN THE PAST. FUNNY ENOUGH MY COLOURED COLLEAGUES TELL ME ON A DAILY BASE THAT THEY PREFER THE APARTHEID THAN THE CURRENT SITUATION IN THIS COUNTRY. BE PROUD OF YOUR RACE AND STOP BLAMING THE WHITES IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH YOURSELF. IN THE APARTHEID I PLAYED WITH COLOUREDS, AND MY PARENTS DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM AT ALL
Coloureds never applied to be black. Tyla is using black culture to succeed and we are ok with it . Even after betraying us during apartheid we still share culture with you guys
@tankirafutho3218 Thank you for your insights and perspective on the Coloured identity in South Africa, fascinating I must say. But everyone has the right to their opinion man so I respect it!
God speed 🙏🏾💪🏾🇳🇿
🙏🙏🙏
Research is a research, but to me "coloured" is just a term to describe people who didn't fall in to Asia, Indian, African Categories. The Illusion is not a culture and does not have any history to the roots of native people. These people want to be African by claiming to be related to the Khoisan, but with European surname? To be honest, you are going to research an illusion. You were classified coloured so that you do not have access to the land. Bye.
👏👏👏
interesting work
well yes!
Well done Munya👏 This is so good
I was captivated throughout, great initiative 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 hope you get desired results, this could really help people globally
Very detailed and excellent presentation
At least you mentioned that coloureds are mixed race because a lot of coloureds claim to be Khoisan which makes them seem delusional because coloureds have European surnames which means that coloured people's forefathers are from Europe and not Africa.
Yes, @GiseleLukusa, the heritage, and ancestry of Coloured people in South Africa are mixed, however, you cannot deny the Khoi within that mix. Saying people are delusional is maybe not the best way to describe it. A lot of South Africans, including Coloured people, do not know much about the history of the identity and how it evolved to become what it is known for today. It further stresses the point that we need to look into the different historical factors that make up the identity to understand that, stating 'Coloured people are just mixed-race' is not doing justice to the identity itself and those who identify as Coloured.
@@lianmay5050 You're entitled to your opinion. Saying coloureds are mixed is not doing an injustice to the coloured identity because coloured people have European surnames in South Africa this means that the forefathers of coloured person's are Europeans.
@@GiseleLukusa I never disagreed with you, what I am trying to say is that it is more than simply putting it as "Coloured people have European forefathers". In my view, as you said I have the right to my opinion, Coloured people are not just of European descent, it is very nuanced and needs to be understood and read in that manner. But I respect your view and understanding of the Coloured identity in South Africa. 🙂
Lets see if colored people can benefit from their "whiteness" lmao. Nobody in the world will see them as anything but black.
👏👏👏
