The choice of colors is a very personal thing so I won't comment on that (and my own Norton is purple metalflake!) but it has to be said: the execution is perfect and the result is really really impressive. 6 coats of clear may seem overkill to some, but if you want that thing to shine and to last, that's how you gotta do it!

Thanks for posting this video. I have been looking for videos on what to do with a broken ratchet. My critique of the video... Everytime you talk I have to turn the volume back up, because I had to turn it down, not wanting to listen to the music. Either very low volume music or no music would be better. This video is good quality. Shortening it would make it better. All that said, it is a good video and it explains what you did well.

Hey, for what it's worth - you make do with what you have, and the metalwork wasn't really that bad. I wonder how many years that "jinky-ass" repair lasted for the owner, for just a few dollars worth of materials.

Can't actually see the work that you've done on The bronco because of the big words that you use on the screen when you're describing the work that you do.
