Sandusky Bay-Battery Park Catfishing--Father's Day 2024
A two day catfishing trip at Battery Park Marina in Sandusky, Ohio with guest friends, Mike and Logan. The bite was slow, compared to one month ago.

Cave Run Lake Crappie Fishing--April 22, 2024

Short fishing trip on Cave Run. The crappie have not moved into shallow water yet. These fish were suspended about 8 feet in 10-12 feet of water.
Update--Cave Run Water Level April 19--Water is receding

Cave Run Lake has dropped 1.5 feet since Sunday, April 14. Most docks should be accessible this weekend. Video includes the Tailwater, Stoney Cove, Scott's Creek and Alfrey Boat Ramp. Monitor the water depth/input and output here: www.lrl-wc.usace.army.mil/reports/lkreport.html

Walk through of upgrades, which include Humminbird One Boat Network, Helix 15, Helix 9, Minn Kota Terrova with built in MDI transducer and pre-wired for Mega Live. Also has two Millenium Rod Holders, Custom built deck extension, stress reduce plate for trolling motor and a Millenium fishing seat.

How is the fishing there usually year to year end of March?
I mostly crappie fish. Water temp is still a little cool for crappie spawn. I catch most of my fish in late summer/fall at night. Just make sure you fish before Memorial Day or after Labor Day if you are gonna fish weekends. Fish week days between the two due to recreational boaters

32 mph.

No sir. I’ve got one of Zilpo Flat, but this was heading out of Stoney Cove Boat ramp. I was heading toward the beach and shut camera off about the time I would have turned left to go toward the beach.
