Fully disassemble and assemble both knives while I jibber-jabber. First public video in 8 years lol - just a little update on the channel, content moving forward has shifted to EDC and format is going to be just a top-down view of my mat, little to no production, raw rambles mostly pertaining my knives and things of the same ilk.

yeah, those are made by grumpypencil - they're out of print though, you'll have to find them on 2ndary (like his fb group)

Great and efficient usage for this so versatile bag. I've just got it a few days ago but I'm a seasoned Code Of Bell user, got their Appex wallet and the X-Pod's bigger bro the EVO Sling X-pak. I love those so the X-Pod is for situations where the EVO is too big, or as a complement when flying, I can pack it flat to use during a trip later on. Amazing bag!
nice! yeah, i love their design language. i was convinced I'd love the X-type backpack but i used it for about 2 months and just couldn't get it dialed in due to how small it is. i still do love the sling though.

Love the beaver tail. Got this pack for field work and school, actually I got the 35L bc of the hip belt and frame, but similar design. I don’t like looking tacticool, but I love the organisms functionality. Dana Gleason would be proud of how dialed in you got this bag.

Where did you get the tool to open the knife. I know you can use a screwdriver. But you re solution is very nice.
it was made by jekylltohydedesign.com but unfortunately he stopped producing them a very long time ago - you can find "pens" on aliex that have the head but they're pretty expensive

Great mods and a good looking bag if not a bit floppy, but that's about right for a lot of MR bags. Could definitely use a refresh to fix the flop.

@@phee303 oh wow, looks pretty cool. In my mind I was thinking of a thin rod or something that went along the edge of the horse shoe. Would your bag still flop if you opened it halfway with your structure piece?
@@campor when it's open it kind of flops, the material is really flexible so it kinda lets it kind of bend back and fourth. actually prefer it like that but again, the loop hasn't held up so right now it's not so great lol

ayyyy thanks lol i found it to drop about 10-15 depending on the load - the whole device feels warmer now due to heat spread but i'm happy with it. hope it was way easier for you than it was for me hahaha
@@phee303 your vid gave me a lot more confidence doing it compared to the official video. And I don't have experience opening up things like this, I only use equipment provided by Aya. Everything went smooth for me. Thx a lot 👍

Thanks for the video. The disassembly process is always hidden in those 6 hour Ayaneo conferences so it’s great to have a better visual guide. Also my cat does the same thing when I’m working on electronics.

the temp readouts are better than before but the device itself, feels physically warmer. there are times temp readouts are about almost 10 degrees cooler but again, the device physically feels warmer in the hands.

The clone is excellent, but beware that there were also clones sold with the markings. Where I bought my M390 clone there was review pictures where the knife had markings. So unless you see the original packaging and card be very suspicious.
i'm sure the marked clone would have laser markings and not true engravings like the real thing but still, good tip!

@@dombond6515 i mean i made a video comparing the m390 with the REAL AUTHENTIC one and it's 99.9% close, so 250 for a 8000-10000 knife, that's fine with me lol i dont even carry it anymore, the evo3 takes all my pocket time since i got it lol

I have the m390 version and my only complain is the sharp or should I say pointy edges in the lockbar cutouts. Nice video, couldn't finish because it is lengthy but thanks for doing it.
nice! mine doesn't are you talking about the lockbar relief (the five slits)? i can agree with, they are definitely slightly harsh
@@phee303 yes those 5 slits. It is significantly pointy that it will have no problem messing up my hand if I will thrust it and not be careful. When I got it, I slide my hand a little bit and it poked me.
But still I would pick this anytime over my $800 gold class Benchmade without hesitation.
Just knock down the sharp edges with some high grit sandpaper. 👍
