Hi! Welcome to our channel! I'm new at this so please bear with me. This is going to be a variety type channel not centered on one thing. Most vids will be outdoor related (Hunting, Fishing, Kayaking, Camping, ATV Riding, Metal Detecting/Relic Hunting, Ect.) but you could see about anything on here. Hopefully, in the future, we are going to collab with some friends that are also getting into UA-cam. Please Like, Subscribe, and Comment! I'd love any tips or suggestions you might have! Stick around. It might be fun!

I wonder if your wildcat is still running on the same engine
Just found this video. I've got a 2018 Frontier Pro-4X with the OEM rack and the local dealer wants $488 for the front cross bar. Absolutely insane. I'll be heading down to the local hardware stores looking for superstrut tomorrow morning. It looks like the 2" clamps are hard to find but I'll find something that'll work. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for posting.
4 years old but top of the etch marks is full, NOT where is says "FULL"
Thank You!
This is a great video. I have been struggling to find crossbars for my Xterra without paying a mint for the OEMs. You definitely saved me a lot of research. Thanks!
your opening ended the playback!
Great video Eddie. I’ve been told the round tubes are fairly stout but that flat piece is garbage. You had mentioned in a reply that you use the flat plates underneath the roof and above the roof liner. Is there one large plate on each corner? You didn’t by chance get any photographs of that did you? I’ve never seen underneath the headliner. I was hoping for some type of a support pillar running from the A to the C pillar. But I’m guessing it’s just a flat piece of metal with a support plate underneath it. Thank you for your reply.
Love how he skipped over how to break the fill screw loose. / or tighten it back up. Great editing 🤦♂️
You could always make your own videos.
or you could make better videos
If you need help figuring out how to loosen bolts, you should just stay away from tools.@@rogerallenhambel9341
Turn it left for off, right for on. Craaaazy he left the out smh😂
I put 22 2x6’s on the oem rack!... it was bad idea
Nice work and thanks for sharing. I've had my truck for 10 years, but never needed the rack until this year. I've used the current setup a few times, and haven't had any issues, but those support bars do seem pretty wimpy. Think I'll do this mod.
Awesome idea and video! About to do this to my truck tonight. What kayak J hook holders did you end up using?
Just a couple of quick comments on a good video series. The engine oil change is about 2.6 quarts as stated below and as per manual. The top of the crosscheck on the dipstick is full. As stated below by James Sparks. Also, make sure you start your rig and let some oil get into the filter before you do your final check and thread the dipstick in to do this check. Do not overfill as John B stated.
My 2020 Trail has no level inspection plug in the front diff. So I just added oil to the filler plug until it over bled. took a little over 6 fl. oz. like the manual stated. As for the question from Jordan below, I used the same Castrol Limited Slip 80w90 oil he used as he showed in Vid 1 one of this series.
What kind of oil u use
Thank you for this vid. Was trying to figure out how to get my kayak on my xterra without ordering new holders. I am going to do this right now.
the top of the etching area is full not halfway up the dip stick
How come people never power wash their toys?
I power wash mine all the time. I take off all the parts that will come off and spray all of the mud out of it.
Thanks!!!
Man, this is perfect. I have an Arksen cargo basket that fit perfectly on my old Mariner, but I just bought a Pro 4X Frontier and the basket is too wide for the brackets to grab onto the Nissan cross bars because they sit too low. Great solution, thanks!
Does the wind blow through the holes and make noise?
Tracey Kays no I have not had any problem with that.
Find some rubber caps for the ends and it would look factory...good Job !!!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Great videos
I've had my 14 mod 22 hrs old, please a vid to fix it all up bumper to bumper.
I have the same truck 2014 which did not come with the roof racks. Does your roof support those ra ks ok? I was told by the dealer that you can't install them after the fact because thge roof doesn't have rthe supports that are installed by the factory. Where did you get yours, and how were they to install?
@Eddietheheadful, could you answer this
I got the rack off of ebay. It wasn't to bad to install if you are comfortable drilling 16 holes into your roof.
@@eddietheheadful besides drilling 16 holes in roof, what else is involved? Does inside trim and headliner have to come out? I just purchased a brand new 2019 frontier Monday and also was told it couldn't be done.
@@gene5251969 I dropped my headliner. I used the threaded plates that came with the rack. They are a little more structurally sound than the rivnuts in my opinion. You can drill holes and use the rivnuts without dropping the headliner, but all the more it takes to do it, I'd suggest that and using the plates. I hope that helps ya.
Hey Eddie... I’m doing my first service (200 miles) on my 17’ wildcat trail. Will all these fluids be the same as what I need on my Model? And is there anything I need to add To it for first service? Thanks.
nice. what size kayak is that?
Willy Don it is 10.5 feet long
Can you do a video on how you installed those greese fittings ?
good job on the vid..thanks! Also i noticed the grease zerks on you a-arms. I was thinking of doing this as well. Did you change the stock bushings?
nuckfan Stock bushings still as tight as new at 1000 miles. Grease fittings were the first thing I did before I ever rode it. I highly recommend them. That is why the stock bushings get such a bad rap. If you grease the water out, they will last a long time.
I recently bought the same machine, mine doesn't have grease fittings. nuckfans question answered mine. for the price I paid I would have thought they would have been installed.
