WB Montreal have their own way of making games as it should be with every other developers tasked with making a game of another company. They can't make shit look the same or it will just be another copy and paste with different textures. Yes the game has issues here and there, like all games do, but it's not a bad game nonetheless.

This STAR Labs mission was my first experience with co-op on the game, so I really love this mission. Coincidentally every time I've tracked the Mr. Freeze missions since, someone else has joined my game for it. I kind of guessed the STAR labs mission would be Mr. Freeze when I went into it, because I knew he was in the game, and a robbery at STAR Labs seemed like a very Mr. Freeze plot, I wish there were a few more villain side missions, but it's a fair amount of villains. Throwing people off the edge of buildings is surprisingly fun and no matter how high the fall is it always shows the victim as "unconscious" but you can literally throw them off of the skyscrapers in the city, and then it says they're unconscious when they've fallen hundreds of feet down.

Overall I think most of the super negative reviews are just people that thought this would be an Arkham game got something more akin to an RPG instead. So far I've been really loving Gotham Knights on PC and I haven't had any performance issues besides one time I clipped through a wall, and another time I got stuck on a bush(that was probably just an invisible wall that I accidentally walked into though) and there was like one second of lag during a cutscene, those are literally the only issues I've had with performance, I've had more performance issues with the Arkham games than this so far, the combat took some getting used to and the gear system took a little while to understand, but eventually I figured it all out and at almost 7 hours in I'm starting to feel like I'm progressing with the combat and everything. The premeditated crime system is pretty awesome, most of my 7 hours has been spent fighting random crime and interrogating people to find premeditated crimes that I then do the next night. The city feels alive which is something that I didn't realize was lacking from the Arkham games until I played this, I'm a big open world guy, but the open world games I've played are Skyrim, Fallout, and the Arkham games, I'm not used to having pedestrians who go about programmed lives each night, I encountered some construction workers once who were doing their job, and I encountered some people watching TV on a rooftop, and those moments made me feel like I actually had something to protect and fight for in Gotham. So yeah, I've been really enjoying the game, I can tell the devs had a lot of passion for the game, and even negative reviewers seem to acknowledge that passion also. Also yeah it was super annoying that it released at 1 PM.
