We have approached the Cerro Vista NM summit from Angel Fire on FR 76, but this time we decided to trailer over to the southern entrance of FR 76 by the Sipapu Ski area! Cerro Vista is almost 750 feet higher than Greenie Peak in Red River NM! LaJunta is a beautiful canyon with great camping and an awesome mountain stream!

My wife and I had just pulled out to head to dinner and we noticed a Bobcat chasing a Prairie Dog towards us. I rolled down the window and got the Bobcat’s attention and it stopped right next to our Jeep. It was probably around 35 pounds. It was an amazing moment!

Not far from Angel Fire NM and the Angel Fire Resort there are some secluded high alpine meadows with amazing views! Many days we can ride all day and not come across another human being.

Sometimes you just have to take the lift up and hike on top! The Chile Express lift missed becoming the longest high speed quad by 20 feet and one year. The Chile Express is 20 feet shorter and one year newer than the Slide Brook Express in Vermont.

We traveled up over the mountains from Angel Fire to Taos approximately 70 miles round trip!

There are several trails from Angel Fire to Valle Escondido we tend to take the scenic route. The country club has a restaurant and bar. Great lunch spot!

Balloons over Angel Fire is one of the few high mountain hot air balloon events in the United States.

October 2023 was our last ride and mountain top cookout and the fall color was amazing!

There are so many awesome trails with no crowds! Say no to crowded trails LOL
