The title is self explanatory. Whoever views this video, enjoy (and I hope the memories come back). Long Live 1970's Radio!

Daryl Hall & John Oates-"Back Together Again" (1976)
Переглядів 184 тис.15 років тому
This is a lost hit by DH & JO, which was pretty popular at it's time. but it seems like some have forgotten about it. Originally released as a single in 1977, this song was written and sung by John Oates. According to Oates, he wrote the song after hearing that the Four Seasons were reuniting, hence the title of the song. This is the opening track to H & O's fifth album "Bigger Than Both of Us"...
I have been a fan of Casey Kasem for years.🙂
I was 16 in 1977 and me and my family lived next to Bremerhaven and we could listen to AFN there, the favourite for me and my brothers and sisters was C.K's American Top 40....i will never forget...
Daryl and John traded off on the vocals here so seamlessly.
Casey kasem was the best,I usted to listen to AT 40 every weekend 😢
My song guys❤❤❤❤Makes me electric
Great 😃👍 Memories from 1977. I used to American Top 40 Every Sunday during the 70s and Early 80s. My Sundays were always complete. Thank You and God 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 You SIR CASEY KASEM AND MR LEO SAYER.
I had forgotten about this classic. It's northern white blue eyed soul at its best
One of their most underrated songs. Still going strong!
90s kids- “This is Casey Kasem with your weekend top 40”
✌️🙂❤️🇺🇲⭐
Anything they made after 1979 was trash.
The best ever yesterday, today , and tommorrow. Magic...✌💪 April 2022
SUPERB. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Poor little Leo... 😁
This was back when Hall and Oates were more AOR (Album Oriented Rock) 🎸 leaning. AOR is not necessary about hard rock, heavy metal, grunge, or the alternative rock genere. I turned on the news on a early Sunday morning and they played a piece of this song. I forgot about it. I remember it.
Great song
I remember that STUPID story - Leo Sayer would be "beat up" -- you'd think if it happened ONCE he'd stop doing it. Unless he was retarded, I doubt he'd do it a second time. These kind of stories are annoying as hell even today.
Casey had a rich, buttery tone to his voice. I listened to the A.T. 40 with Casey's voice as he "counted down the most popular songs in America". It became a past time of mine from 1987 until my College years in the mid-1990s. He was the biggest reason I became such a pop music fan. May Uncle Casey R.I.P. 💖
I listened to AT 40 every weekend,and nowadays I still do It I have many recordings of A T 40, it's My time Machine🎼💯
Me gusta desde.... Uuuuuuhhhh... pero nunca imaginé que era de Hall and Oates... Buena rolaaa
Not one of their bigger hits but this is one of my favorite songs from the dynamic duo. Out of Touch is their best.
Here in 2021 still listening!
BACK TOGETHER AGAIN 2021 🤗😍
Loved this!
I thought it was about Neil Defaka because I heard a DeeJay say that back when it came out. So, I've thought that ever since, until now! Ha ha ha 🙂 thanks for posting.
1977! Sonntag nachmittag! Radio auf Mittelwelle - Suchen / Rauschen und dann: "Here is AFN Nürnberg / Germany. Here is Casey Kasem and "American Top Fouuuurtieee!" Werde ich niemals vergessen! 4 Stunden lang immer die neuesten Hits aus dem Land unserer Träume.....(damals)
They don't make music like this anymore ~~~~ PERFECTION !!!!!!!!!
One of my favourite Hall & Oates track but shun by them because it’s not in their greatest hits albums. Shame!
Good song
So glad I got to see them in concert back in the day!!
Yes.. Truly.. Love this song!! Always have.
Should have been a bigger hit than it was , kind of overlooked
Thank you Casey for everything you did for soooo long !! I’ve heard countless countdowns way back from when you started in July of 1970 !! Now you are no longer here with us in person but you’re countdown is still going strong on satellite radio on weekends across the land and I listen to the A Top 40 each and every Sunday morning on Sirius xm 70s on 7 and thoroughly enjoy going down memory lane with you ❤️
This song needs an expanded Wikipedia page - it sounds like a Earth Wind and Fire song.. love it.
You swiped that from a Premiere Radio re-release of this episode (else the "Shuckatoom" theme would have played to the end)
JOHNNY NP 1966 ROCKS !
Tom Scott on tenor sax!
1977 was a great year for Hall&Oates
