Class 153s have finished with Great Western Railway 🚃 around Sunday 31st March 2019 nearly 4 previous years ago in 2023. Perhaps 🤔 class 153s won’t be coming back anymore. Now only used for ScotRail and Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Also stopped being used for Greater Anglia, East Midlands Railway, West Midlands Railway and Northern Rail. They are 1 single car class 153s. By 2030 perhaps 🤔 class 153s could be phased out by being replaced by new trains 🚊. 😄

Very interesting video and I cannot help thinking back to the steam/early diesel era of the late 1950/60's when the sea wall on a Summer Saturday would be blessed with tremendous variety, Castles, Kings, Halls, Granges, Manors and even the odd 9F or 28xx tossed in for good measure. The gaps were filled with Warship diesels. The reality is that the current Summer Saturday service is a pale shade of what went before. Heyho, that's progress I suppose. But so boring compared with those halcyon days of steam!

Let's be clear, that loco is certainly not struggling. It's definitely working. But it's not struggling with that load as the title suggests. Awesome to see a pannier actually working too!

Very nice little railway. I did and still do holiday in the South Hams and so love anything with a connection to there.

I went on a 143 when I visited Paignton in August 2017, awesome trains.

I really enjoyed travelling on these trains when I went on holiday to Paignton in August 2017. Hopefully they will be keeping these units not getting rid of them like the 142's.

a good look but a very bad ride reasons: they are buses on frieght container wagons. they have no suspension what so ever which means you ride will be hard with no comfort. last things is thankfully these trains have been dismissed which means there are on the class 195's to replace them thankfully

I am seeing all these hate comments, although the GWR 143s are in better condition than their 153s ever were
