I would suggest leaving them clear because you will be adding a new layer of the strengthener each day or so.

That's why it's great that there are so many options. This is just the one I use and prefer but it's more about the method than anything else. Again, I'm not a professional, I'm just a hobbyist and am just sharing what I've learned.

@blessed9491 yes and yes. I used it as I described here and it did help my nails.

Everything causes cancer. It is a California standard

I just remove it with polish remover. I use a non-acetone, nail strengthening one from my local CVS.

I was totally wrong, I'm wearing Be Patient by Harmon Polish with Gratitude by DRK Nails on the accent nail.

That's a great question. The short answer is yes you can stamp with gel polish but it can be a little finicky. I'm allergic to gel so I don't have any useful tips since I can't use gel but Jillies Nails channel here on YT has a couple of great tutorials on it.

I wasn't too worried about it. Since I store my polishes in helmers drawers, all of my polishes are swatched on yhe top with a large dot of polish so that covers up most of the oopsie anyway. I also have extra stickers I could have used too. I'll have to try that next time though! Thanks for the tip.

The box is small but it holds a ton! You can do 8-10 full bottles if not more. I saw the current one and am contemplating getting it. I better decide quick huh? Lol

Oh wow! I have never even heard of it doing that. Try using regular polish and then every 3rd or 4th time use Acetone. Its not ideal bur should protect your plate for longer.

The layering has made a huge difference for me. Give that a try. Honestly just about any nail strengthener will do the trick. Sally Hansen has some really good ones.

Great question, I would suggest Ridge filler second. I have found since doing this I haven't needed Ridge filler as much though.

@@jasminescott6413 I would suggest the Ridge filler second. However I have found that I don't need the Ridge filler as much since using this method.

The company recommended ridge filler first - and then strengthener. I am 2 weeks in with good results.

I think to clarify - the strengthener does not change the nail (ie make the actual nail stronger) its simply a lacquer type layer over the nail to make the integrity stronger. Which may be why 1. Any "strengthener" works and. 2. Why the ridge filler is designed to be the first coat.

I would suggest first cleaning yours stamper head to remove any of the natural oils. If you can remove the stamper head from the holder, simply clean with gentle soapy water and lay to dry on a paper towel over night. Next work fast, stamping polish tends to dry very quickly. Try different scrapping directions and even different scrapers. I find the firmer ones like an old credit card or gift card work better. Don't over scrape, just one swipe should do it. I also find a gentle quick rolling motion works but others find a quick up and down works for them. Try both. Hope those tips help! 😊

Great question! I personally do, just to keep them free of oils and such but I have had some plates that my 10 year old used and then put away either with the polish still on or she cleaned them with regular remover and I was able to clean those up when I found them just fine.

@@sharoncrown9545 I am new to the nails things. Does it need to be certain nail polish for the stamps or it can be any nail polish?

Feel free to ask any questions. It does need to be high pigments so stamping polish is preferred because of the pigmentation. But plenty of my regular polish is pretty pigmented and stamps really well. My advise would be to try out various polishes. Hope this helps!

I'm thinking about getting this plate and had no clue what the gradient square was until you mentioned it. It might make a good first plate..
