Gregg shot himself in 2005. I saw VH twice, once with Dave on Diver Down and Once with Sammy on Balance tour. What bothered me was VH used fake big screen footage of Al allegedly playing drums LIVE during the show. On the big screen of Al playing the drums during the show, Al was wearing a white headband when he wasn't wearing a headband during the Live show. I then wondered how much other stuff was also fake during the Live shows. Ed using the drill on Poundcake during Live shows was fake too.

Just listen to their music. It's completely juvenile and rock clichés. No question they were all very talented musicians. But their sensibility was perfect for a 10 to 12 year old boy. Which is why I loved them in fifth grade. But had outgrown them by eighth grade.

First off VH is one of my fav bands ever. Alex is one of the best drummers ever. That said this is what i've witnessed as I saw many VH concerts during the 80's in New England. I even got free tickets to some of their show thanks to my gorgeous wife (Now Ex) whom the guy in charge of the lights (I think his name was Kendal Carter) thought was my sister. I exploited this because I knew there would be an opportunity to meet my hero "Eddy". She was asked back stage by someone to meet DLR once. This didn't happen, as I knew what that was all about. We would eventually go to many more VH shows .Anyhow as far as the Alex piss jug. This is most likely true and no biggie. (I've done this my self) as I witnessed the whole band all together pissing into a single 5 gallon drywall type bucket underneath the stage during their quick break. This is absolutely true and no big deal. When you gotta go you gotta go. Especially when your pounding down brewski's. I remember saying to the wife.."Hey look...they're all pissing in a bucket". Laughing my ass off. We always sat stage right next to the pit and corner of the stage. You could see below the stage.These were never our seats but I would fanagle my way there because there was usually a couple of unoccupied seats. One time as Eddie was sitting doing his solo there someone threw water or something liquid at Ed . there was this liquid dripping off Ed and his guitar. He looked at me as if to say "What am I supposed to do now"? So I motioned to him that I could toss him my shirt and he nodded OK. So I tossed my shirt to him but it fell into the pit. Moving on to a different show, Kendal invited me and my "sister" to a backstage party (This was during the Hagar years) He told her "Tell your brother not to approach Ed if he come there" So i'm back stage checking out the scene as my Wife is talking to Michael Anthony. They were in deep conversation so I wandered around a bit and noticed Ed coming in. He looked aggravated and had his right arm wrapped in something like a sling. I reached out to shake hands and he kinda gestured that he can't. I actually think he does this so he doesn't have to shake anyones hand as some dudes have a gorilla grip. Ed walks over to Michael as he's having a good time talking to my wife and he says "come on Mickie we gotta go". Michael immediately left. And that's it. Ed wasn't all that friendly but Michael was very nice!

The real reason is because Frehley is a drug addicted drama queen who has zero regard for anyone else but himself, along with Gene and Paul deciding to become a transvestite version of ABBA.

Why are you so freaked out about a piss jar. I've had puke buckets on stage and actually puked while performing as the drummer in the band. Your on the road, the show must go on, I've never missed a gig. A piss jar is no big deal, but you make it this huge drama, click bait bs. Relax drama queen.

Yeah….this is old news at this point. Their road manager’s (Noel) is absolutely spectacular, and incredibly interesting. But, both those guys were a train-wreck of ego & substance abuse….as the entire 70’s & 80’s often was.

I'm not trying to defend Alex in any way because everyone knows he and Edward could be really difficult to get along with at times , but it's really not as bad as it sounds. Lots of jobs have people who empty piss jars, bed pans, change diapers, etc. I'm sure Alex and the Van Halen management company paid this roadie very well and he probably just accepted it as part of the job. People who don't work in the music and entertainment industry would be absolutely shocked and appalled at some of the things Roadies , Personal assistants, and other support staff are required or expected to do for celebrity musicians.

Not sure if you will see this, since it's 2 months after the fact. I remember KC saying ince that he would write a pretty song on piano or acoustic guitar, show it to Gary, and he would add a loud, screaming guitar part. The flip side was that Gary would come in with a smokin' rock song, and KC would mellow it out with a piano or acoustic guitar part, and they believed that this balance was what made it work. Yin and yang, if you will. Gary was incredible. He could shred with the best, but he always played what the song needed. My band cvered some REO songs and Gary's solo from Take It On The Run was one of the few solos l ever copied note-for-note.

So…the truth? Gary was a drunk. In a party band, that’s fine. (Van Halen made a career out of it) But when Kevin joined, his songs were pop rock, contemporary rock that made them stars/money. It squelched Gary’s ripping guitar solos and made the “party band” a pop act. This depressed Gary and increased his drinking until he was ousted from the band. Gary was a unique player, but no Edward Van Halen.

It depends on the person, IMO. AVH was a miserable person drunk or sober. Someone like Ace Frehley was the life of the party when he drank.

Alex and Greg Emerson was high school friends,and Greg was always with them,watch the videos where they talk about Gazzaris and the strip,he was one of Alex 's in er circle,hey friends can be rough at times,but I promise you if anything ever happened to Greg I'm sure Alex and everyone would help. I never understood some of the stuff with Mikey(Anthony)EVH(RIP)used to say he would show him the bass parts,he probaly showed him how he would have done it,we all know Ed was a perfectionist and one of those rare virtuosic musicians,but we all know Mikey was a badass bassist and probaly the Greatest back up vocalist (and he still is)in all of heavy rock. Hey we all love and breath Van Halen,they grew up as big time musicians and in the public eye,if these kind of stories is all that can come up, WOW!our Van Halen is saints ,look at PDiddy or whatever he calls himself,or shit some of the female pop stars read some of the stuff they done,lol. I’ve met both Eddie, Al and Michael Anthony at different times. All very nice! I’m born and raised in Los Angeles and saw the VH guys around town a few times. Al was a drunk and young and many of us did stupid things. Why didn’t the drum tech speak out years ago? Now that Al has a book out he wants his 10 minutes of fame? Not saying that if Al really did those things while being drunk is acceptable but I think it’s sus that now the drum tech is talking. In my opinion Sammy’s book trashed Ed who clearly had issues so if Al holds a grudge that’s his prerogative! So what! You don’t have to forgive everyone and Al isn’t trashing Sammy he’s just not acknowledging him. This popped up on my IG feed but I won’t be supporting this channel and it came off as petty and gossiping lol! 😂
