My first SOTA contact (ever) was a summit to summit with a mountain goat, N0DNF on 20m. After a couple of failed SOTA attemps, I made some course corrections and the lessons learned seem to have paid off.

Adapted from the 3/4 Minus Cykletur ride, I took this route while on a weekend stay up at Schweitzer Mountain. Everyone else was bombing the hills on their enduro bikes while I crushed a little gravel. This ride is generally quite flat at only 1350 ft gain over the 44 miles. The gravel sections were fast and typically hard-packed with very little vehicle traffic. You could pull this off on 28c ...
