Join us on an unforgettable journey through Ninh Binh, Vietnam, a region renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Often referred to as "Ha Long Bay on land," Ninh Binh offers a unique blend of history, architecture, and natural beauty that captivates all who visit.
In this video, we begin by exploring the stunning Phát Diệm Cathedral, a masterpiece that combines Vietnamese and European architectural styles. Next, we visit the Bai Dinh Complex, home to one of the largest Buddhist temple complexes in Southeast Asia, where ancient pagodas and grand temples stand in harmony with nature.
Our adventure continues at the Hang Múa Viewpoint, where a climb up nearly 500 steps rewards you with panoramic views of the Tam Coc Valley, a landscape of winding rivers and towering limestone mountains. We then delve into Vietnam’s history at the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, where the first Vietnamese emperors are honoured in the Dinh and Le Temples.
Finally, we take a serene boat tour along the Trang An Route 3, navigating through caves and rivers in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. This journey offers a peaceful escape into the heart of Ninh Binh's natural wonders, leaving you with lasting memories of this extraordinary destination.

    What does the eye dancing of the dancers symbolize?

    • @norefilms
      @norefilms Місяць тому

      In Balinese dance, eye movements, known as "seledet," play a crucial role in expressing emotion, storytelling, and character. They are symbolic and highly stylized, reflecting specific meanings: Character Representation: Eye movements help differentiate characters, especially between strong and delicate personas. For example, sharp and intense eye movements are often used for powerful or malevolent characters, while softer, more fluid eye motions represent graceful or benevolent characters. Emotional Expression: The eyes convey a wide range of emotions-fear, joy, anger, love, or surprise-without the need for words. Dancers use their eyes to exaggerate emotional intensity. Attention and Focus: The direction and intensity of eye movements indicate where the dancer's attention is focused, whether on a divine figure, an enemy, or a dramatic event happening in the narrative. Ritual and Spiritual Symbolism: In traditional Balinese dance, which is often linked to religious and spiritual ceremonies, eye movements can signify the connection between the human and the divine, enhancing the sacredness of the performance. Balinese dancers are trained to control their eyes with precision, making them as expressive as other body movements.

    Another beautiful video! The diving looks incredible! How did you find the internet/cell service in North Sumatra? We are planning to visit soon, but have read lots of conflicting info on that. Hoping to visit Medan, Banda Aceh, Pulau Weh, Bukit Lawang, and Berastagi!

    • @norefilms
      @norefilms 2 місяці тому

      Thank you! Generally internet was fine, we didnt have any major problems. Indeed, when we researched Sumatra there wasn't much out there. We spent 1 month there and it was one of the most challenging destinarions, thats why we are finishing workinging on an ultimate guide on Sumatra where we will explain everything. It will contain info on Medan, Banda Aceh, Pulau Weh, Bukit Lawang, Lake Toba, Bukittingi, Harau Valley and Padang. It will be a one stop shop for everything you need to know. Ill drop a community post when its done! Enjoy you trip and id say dont miss Lake Toba. 🤙

      @benandhaley No problem, if you have any questions give me a shout, I'd be happy to help. Make sure to visit Mount Bromo and Ijen in Java - it was the highlight of our trip and one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places we have ever seen!

    I’ve heard about the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge regime led by Pol Pot from 1975-1979 in Cambodia and the atrocities of the Vietnam war as shown in the Cambodian and Vietnam museums, but I’ll pass on visiting either of those museums. Why carry those disturbing images around in your head for the rest of your life?? Too graphic and traumatic.

    Good stuff, I had the pleasure to visit there last summer and 2 comments - I too was very moved by the War remnants museum, but I wouldn't use the word you used- disgusting for it....shocking, tragic..better - disturbing! Oh and then the Japan town area and the girls in white, I believe they really are masseuses... not what you implied, there is a lot of competition sure..but I sure didn’t feel they spoiled the place. Anyway good travels, keep it up!
