Some gods come from heaven. These gods come from hell. This documentary gives exposure to the dying trade of the two Hell Gods of Wealth in Singapore - an insight about the people following this practice and why they worship gods of hell.
They are called jinns. Some people refer to them as spirits or ghosts. They are wrongly taken as deities and gods. Jinns are creations just as humans are. Jinns are not deities or gods. God is only one and Supreme. God is the Creator. God is not creation.

Even call me to spend money for prayers... If it's a small amount I don mind... But they asked for a significant amount of money.... It's very sad that people use Gods name to get donation or money... I just hope they will stop what they are doing as it's going to ruin people's faith in the Chinese deity over the long haul.... By the way. If you consult a doctor.. it's very common that he/she ask you questions... But for Chinese deity medium... If they are TRUE GOD, some basic thing they should be able to know .. and I can say that a large amount of time they are just guessing and preying on human fear.... FYI, this temple that I went, after I said I wanted to think about the donation for prayer... The guy immediately "TURNED" face! You should know what I meant... And I ever see videos of his temple showing tracing events of alot of mediums..... I don't know what to say.... It's very sad... If you are really into saving the world, why do you care so much about the money....

"gods" that are in heaven. which sometimes tied with buddhism avalokiteshara which are addressed as kwan ying in chinese. buddhism share similar beliefs with hindusim on reincarnation stage. where souls afterlife will be sent to judge for their sins, there they would be send to either heaven or hell. the soul will repent for their sins, punished according to what they did in their past life until karma exhausted? there the soul will be reincarnated into different beings, whether is it creatures or human. the cycle of rebirth only stops when one attained moksha, even deeper meaning for one to explore. well, its a belief, sometimes mythology.

By definition there is no such name as God of Hell. Hell is for the evil spirit. So there is no such thing as God. Is the Satan. But somehow we choose to call God but really do we think that's the God. Our conscious would tell us God is holy. God of Hell? Lots of people especially Chinese, everything they prayed, they say God but when you really ask them is that God? If not 9/10 it would be 10/10 will answer 'I don't really know'. The question now is 'Are you praying to a Spirit? Or even is a evil spirit?

Its called a praying to deities. The reason as to why you have this misconception about us taoists ‘unsure about whether they are exactly praying to’ is because this is meant to be a Chinese tradition. We call it 神, and hence translated to english directly is obviously God. I hope you can understand this better before commenting. There are differences in what religions and not exactly what you think is right, will always be the case for others. In the idea of Taoism, it is believed that after death, one goes to this place in between Hell & Earth to receive their judgment. The ‘Gods of Hell’ are there to assist that. Judgement of a person’s doings in life is then made there, where a person proceeds to either receiving punishment in hell (and later on reincarnating), or reincarnating, or even live in heaven afterwards. The difference between some other religions is that they perceive Hell as the evil place set up by evil gods, and that Hell & Heaven is against each other. But in the case of Taoism, Hell is no other than a place of judgment, and is a counterpart of the gods in heaven. They work together.
