I want to make a mono black deck that focuses on a necromancy strategy, destroying opponents creatures and Summoning them under my control. I don't know where to start, could anyone give me suggestions?

I know this is an old video but please help with rules clarification. If i attack you with a 1/1 creature with infect and you block with a 2/2 creature does the 1/1 creature die and the 2/2 lives but with a poison counter? Or does the 1/1 inect live and the 2/2 lives with a poison counter?

What would you consider the power level of this deck to be?

Scarab God is my comm. I put Mystical Tutor in my deck as my second copy of Final Parting (tutor two cards, one to hand, one to grave). As soon as I hit 6 mana, I Mystical for Parting at the end step before my turn, then Parting for Grave Titan and Reanimate. The rest is straight forward:))

Casually suggesting a 700 dollar card is still wild to me as a fairly new player. Skill is one thing, the power of the credit card is another. Any tips for pure budget players?

WOTC is now producing cards that feel exactly like the fakes, so now you have to worry about modern fakes/counterfeits and the feel test is only effective on older cards. Bend test: good fakes can past this test without a problem, not a good test anymore. The jeweler's loupe is one of the only ways to truly spot a fake/counterfeit. Look at the black lines on the cards and the "green dot" on the back of the cards. I have seen fake/counterfeits that are now coming with red dots in the green dot, but they do not make the "L". The new fake/counterfeits are passing the light test, this test is not as effective as it used to be. There are now holifoil cards of newer cards that unless you have a jeweler's loupe, you cannot tell the difference. The original fake/counterfeits were coming out of China and are very easy to spot. The new fake/counterfeits are now coming out of Germany and Italy, they are true counterfeits and very difficult to spot. There are now companies making fake PSG stickers and slabs, so you cannot even trust these anymore. I have been playing Magic since 1996, so I have a lot of original cards including Beta power nine. Is it really fair for me to enter a tournament with power cards that almost no one can afford because they were buying cards and playing back in the day? Magic has done this to themselves by keeping the reserve list. The original cards are not going to lose their value. Original mana crypts, birds of paradise and demonic tutors have all held their value. Even though Feed the swarm is a great card, in Theros beyond death they printed a god send card for me, Pariahs Lamment, for 1 back and two colorless INSTANT SPEED I can choose target opponent and have them either sac a creature or sac an enchantment, since I run Tergrid in the 99, it’s a hilarious interaction especially if it’s Rhystic study, I take it, Smothering Tithe, it’s mine, Mystic Remora, thanks!😂😂😂😂😂

How about the thickness? Having an extra slice of paper + an extra sleeve may really make a difference... Great tuto by the way!

If you dont have a color printer, you can save them on an USB and print them at fed-ex or similar store. They also have nice cutters to cut the cards from sheets.

I play a sliver deck with Sliver Queen,, First Sliver, etc. -- to include Morophon. The trick in commander is to convince the otherr players that you are not that much of threat and hope they don't gang up on you on turn 4 😛

i think there is diference for dictate of erebos and grave pact ... becouse dictate working also for tokens, and grave pact no. Am i right ?

I am curious if you took out the extra turn cards what would you replace them with?

How do you find the thickness of the cards? I sometimes find the extra paper sticks out but to be fair I’ve only tried paper in front of a land, not both in a sleeve. Maybe this squeezes them in

3 mana get a fetchland? I pay 2 mana to ramp 1 mana tops. 5 mana to get two lands? I pay 4 mana to ramp 2 mana tops. Getting 2 3 drops for 5 mana is obviously good, but thats the absolute ceiling of the card. If this costed 2/4 for both sides I think I'd be high on it.
