Noob question: with advanced power management, how do you manage to switch between max engines-no shields to no engines - max shields so quickly, and vice versa. With default inputs on keyboard, it requires pressing two inputs - 2,3 from engines to shields and 2,1, from shields to engines. But it seems to me you are switching between those states using only one key. If so, how do you do it? Or are you simply so trained and fast, it comes as a second nature to you?
it's very second nature now. i play on an xbox elite controller with my power mgmt + shield direction/shunting all on my back paddles. i'm hitting the two inputs almost at the exact same time. you'll see that when I hit "23" it's much faster than when i need to do "32" for max weapons because of how those paddles are positioned.
I like rockets with rotary cannon. start firing them before the cannon spools up

Another great B-wing bombing run! AS for your Empire gameplay, does anyone still use standard Tie/ln Fighter on Pro level? It seems Defender took over that role completely.
yes a lot of teams will use one defender and one tiefighter for their flex pairs. it's more reaupply heavy because of chip dmg on the 3 unshielded ships, but the tiefighter burst lasers are sooo strong for obj, plus getting to carry an ion torp or proton torp is still clutch

How did you get 15 bomb capacity on b-wing? I though 10 bombs are max with Gyro auxilary. Is this an older match with older patch? EDIT: Ah, now I remember, custom setting for the match, I guess.
Yes! In the 3PO (3 Player Only) League run through a discord server we have modifiers to help balance the game. Last season they implemented 1.5 aux for all ships to open up some different strats that don't necessarily rely on having a support pilot in your line-up. but having 15 bombs + 9 resupplies is too good to pass up.
@@hail-x-sagan That must be super-powerful for B-wing. Even with default settings of 10 bombs if it keeps getting resupplied by U-wing you could melt Raiders and Corvettes. 15 bombs seems almost like a cheat-code :P
in the higher comp scene there are only a couple pilots who can consistently reach the light cruisers with the bwing as it is difficult to fly, especially while consistently landing bombs, and it's very easy to target for the enemy. but for those who can do it, it's hard to beat in a straight base race.
