3 days ago I started on some pre cut Bamboo for flutes. My flute making has turned me towards the bigger flutes. I have created two C # flutes one flat and one sharp. Also I made the D flutes as well but they are works in progress as they are very airey and a bit squeaky as the blocks aren't suitable yet. Just did some trackwork on this G# Bamboo Flute, had too much air so reworked track area and fixed the block to suit.

Pine flute playing in F# handmade Pine

Here I'm playing in E on my handmade Pine Flute. The wood was sourced from a secondhand timber yard. I have now given this old pine glut a second life as a Flute with a sweet happy sad voice. The Flute journey continues... Thankyou

Here is a flute I've made from a timber yard pine wood length I paid $5 for. I've given that old rustic length of pine a new life as a 5 hole flute in F#, it has a lovely sweet voice now. I drilled the bore with a 22mm bit then planed and sanded it into shape, then burned in the sound and air holes, tuned to F# I then tuned it as a five hole minor pentatonic scale. The flute journey continues

Yo here I jam on some handmade Bamboo Flutes I've made, they all have their own voice and sing beautiful. Still practicing and learning about the flute journey I'm on now.

After nearly six months of learning about flutes of the world I have made a Bamboo bird head flute. It's taken a couple of months but it now sings in the key of F# in the minor pentatonic scale. Sounds sweet and sing a lovely song. The flute journey continues....

My handmade bamboo flute, 😀 tuned to a G. Here I play a little after making some final adjustments to make it play clearer and smoother. I've only played flute for five months now so I have improved a lot but I have a long way to go on my Flute Journey. 😀
