One last note: in the event that such a game as Zero-Gordian (or a variation on it) would be "field-tested" (i.e., micro-gravity tested), say, aboard the 'vomit-comet' (parabolic flight)...I am aware that periods of micro-gravity only last approximately 25 seconds at a time (while the ZG rules use 2 and 1 minute time limits as key times limits/targets); in such a field case, the game is simplified: the total time limit for knot-tying would be adjusted downward to the 25 seconds of the peak parabolic arc (period of micro-gravity), with points awarded for fastest knot tying, plus level or difficulty, and, artistic merit, etc.

Note: I was conversing with a friend and he observed that the game "moved rather slowly" (at least as depicted), but then added, "well, I guess that's what you have to expect in micro gravity" This is primarily why there is a (2 minute) time limit on the tying of any knot (no points lost for failing to tie the knot within that limit; only if the knot is tied wrong when the time runs out). However, I will note that in the game's original conception, there are various "push-off' platforms and/or 'c-shaped' handles placed around the play arena so as to give the astroletes some means of controlling their direction and momentum. This latter addition will help make game play a bit more "speedy" (but will also require skill in controlling the amount of momentum relative to your team mate's that you are tethered to).

Note: The knot tying shown in the video is abbreviated and 'idealized' (i.e., does not accurately depict any actual knot tying). Also: the scores displayed for each team are reversed; the BLUE team makes their knot faster (according to the time stamp) , and so, the would receive the slightly higher score (as both knots are of the same difficulty level). The only contingency here is if the audience had voted the ORANGE team to have performed their knotting the more "artistically" of the two, thus making the scores tied or slightly higher for the ORANGE team. Also, please forgive the typo in the credits! :-)
