Highlight NYE 2024: Inkling
A collaboration between video designers, printmakers, and musicians, Inkling invites kids and adults to learn the art of making inkblot prints and bring them to life with a live musical score!
After German poet-doctor Justinus Kerners created the first book of blotograms, based on unintentional spills on paper, the form evolved into a popular children’s parlor game played by the likes of Carl Jung and Hermann Rorschach, who later invented the inkblot test.
In this interactive video installation and workshop, audiences animate their creations and see them projected in accompaniment with a live, improvised ambient score.
Inkling’s video design and concept is by Vanish Works’ Alex Reeves in collaboration with printmaker Adam Carnes and musician Ben Dexter Cooley, the composer behind electronic ambient project St. Silva.

I'll participate again this year!😂
👏🏾 ❤
I think your work is superb
I don't listen to child rapists. Ex teacher who messed with his student
So amazing I like it
Thank you.
When working with stringers, once you tack fuse do you score the glass on the top where you layer down the stringers or the underside on the clear sheet of glass?
I also wondered about this.
Did you use noodles and stringers to make you colorful strip or just thin strips of glass?
Супер!🙃👍
Is this song out on platforms?
We love your work!
I enjoyed seeing your studio and hearing about your work. Wishing you the best as you continue to work in this beautiful space.
i can't not think of peter doig with some of these pond scenes, nice work.

superb
I admire your passion ✌
Love it!
Really dig this! Keep it up!
Thank you for sharing your ongoing projects.
Seeing the waterwheel helped make this possible makes me so happy :) ⭕️⭕️⭕️⭕️
There are a few issues I can see with a reimbursement model for artists-it’s probably workable for online platforms that host their model internally, but with the proliferation of community sourced models and customization options, it seems unenforceable. Additionally, with the revenue being split so many ways, it really weakens the argument that any particular work influenced the output to an extent that warrants compensation, and bolsters the fair use argument. I think general UBI may be a better path, in part because it allows bringing in other displaced workers, and avoids an “artist vs. non-artist” dynamic.
Love it !
May I ask from where can I buy the strip cutter?
Hi Hadia. We'd recommend reaching out to Gabriele for more information about her tools. You can find her contact info at www.gbfusedglass.com/
Wow, your style is beautiful! I love seeing how other artists interpret color and shape, your work is absolutely gorgeous. I truly love how your work runs the gamut of somewhat whimsical ornaments, to practical (and quite lovely!) coasters, to much more complex pieces like your incredible bowls and platters. Your exploration of color and shape is very inspiring! Thank you for sharing. I hope to see more in the future!
