Public Hearing
September 19th, 2024 at 4pm
MCHS: 910 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive
The subject of this hearing will be consideration of two sites nominated for designation as 2024 Milwaukee County landmarks. The sites are:
1) The Max and Anita Karl Jewish Community Campus. (formerly the Milwaukee Country Day School and University School) 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point, WI.
2) The Wisconsin Club (formerly the Alexander Mitchell residence and Deutscher Club), 900 N. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI.
Both are being considered for historic and architectural significance. Persons interested in, or associated with, the potential landmark may join the hearing to give testimony for or against its designation.
Questions concerning landmark status, or the designation process can be directed to MCHS Archivist, Steve Schaffer.
