IIrC that grand slam couldn’t officially be recorded as a GS/HR because he didn’t touch home. Probably one of the dumbest rules in baseball.

Most of these are hard to watch. Not intentional. However these horrenduous unwritten rules leave the door open for retaliation. Wouldnt surprise me if some of these comebackers were deliberate as an escalation of the stupid unwritten rules. Batter admires his hit. Pitcher drills him. Batter gets the last word. If so, time to ditch the unwritten rules bullshit. Pitchers give up hits in stride. Yes the hitters can celebrate breaking out of their slump with a hit. Batters not all hit by pitches were intentional. Lets go back to sportsmanship.
