So, why the heck don't they offer the attenuator on the combo amps?

Just bought one of these…promised it I would never have an delusional 80’s seizure on it or drive a Simpson school bus or ever get charged for twisting the penis off a girlfriend.

I have the ac30 head and love it.

I bought a secondhand 100W head with its 4*12 cab today, and it sounds pretty good!!! Especially the 'UK 80' and 'Boutique OD' are really interesting, but Vox's own AC30TB is very neatly done! There could've been more storage spaces for presets, though. The presets themselves seem to center mainly on vast amounts of reverb and a continuously engaged auto-wah.... Honestly, does anyone ever use an auto-wah?? All in all, my amp needs some good cleaning, as the potentiometers are really scratchy from years of (ab)use in a rehearsal studio.... Can't wait to hear it together with the 4x12 cab 👍

Too bad only 150 of each were made ..they should have stayed in slow regular production. In 2017 I remember one could buy a good original one (early 60s) for that price. ($4kUS) I bought one of the 250 40th Anv Stacks by Marshall in 2004 ish new. I used to have it next to my bed so when I woke up in the morning first thing I would do is touch it and appreciate that I had one..then I’d touch my wife and coax her to make us breakfast : ) The inflation of pricing just shouldn’t be this high really.It makes buying more prohibitive. In the 70s one could go to 48th Street (so called Music Row) and get 45% off Mfg Retail Price on Gibson..Fender..Martin..pretty much everything of that caliber..So imagine how much more affordable the street price of this amplifier becomes at $3150 instead of $3999. And you could find everything down there..my brother used to walk down there 4 or 5 out of 7 days to look around. My mom would call to talk to my brother and not finding him in in her Greek accent would say I know where he is at Sam Ass..

I think it is a very good amplifier but perhaps the sound purists may be more in agreement with paying its price because for those of us who are guitarists it offers little versatility and the lack of incorporation of a master volume makes it necessary to wake up to half neighborhood. Also, I don't need a vibrato-tremolo channel. On the other hand, I think it's a great amp but it has its own specific customer. I saw the AC15HW1´s service manual and i think that it´s better option because the normal circuit is pretty similar to a vintage AC30/6 Treble, and the top boost is the same circuit that Dick designs in 60´s, and has a made in UK greenback speaker in it.

Wow, got really excited by this when I first saw it, then I realised I can't plug in a microphone! At least 3/4 of the buskers I now, and who would use this, would like to sing too. They might not all be great vocalists, but they want to do more than just play an instrument. I don't understand your thinking in this regard.
