Reflect on my pre-set tier list predictions and review my current tier list. I went through slides of the decks as I was talking about them and didn't realize I had the tier list overlayed. T.T Might re-record this, but for now take it as an audio piece. Galactic Ambitions team discord - discord.com/invite/vTtjsw7YvX

Which of the tier 2 decks(boba blue, qira green, han blue) do you think has the best aggro matchup? Also where can I see your versions of the decks?
Definitely the boba blue i played at Clifton. I'd go as far as saying it's a tier 1 deck. I currently don't have my lists publicly available, but if you PM on Discord, I'm happy to share any.
Couple corrections/clarifications. When I'm talking about the boba green now there are two combo, the % chance I reference is for ramp into now there are two curve. When I talk about Dooku and Droid Demolisher, completely forgot it had sabetour when attacking crafty, but still can be a 2 for 1.
Congratulations PQ TOP8 💪🔥😎
45:20 Make An Oppening kills Lurking TIE Phantom same for Snoke. It's 0/0 and it'll defeat it not the card ability
Great video and channel!
I love phantom tie fighter. Hard control needs answers
I think it's a little too broad. It shouldn't dodge avenger and power of the darkside, imo. The wording on cards makes that tough to implement, though.
I think you might have misread Rose Ticos ability. She removes the shield of a unit, and boosts the unit from which she removed the shield by 2xp, not herself (unless she removes her own shield). She cant become super big by removing shields from other units as you seem to suggest. Apologies if I misunderstood what you meant.
Ah, you're right! I did misread it.
I'm sorry, but what does "agency" mean in the context of this game?
@sunwentai1 to have "control." In the context here, to be able to do what we want, reducing opponents health total, while opponent has to stop it. So our goal is to get control over the board so we can attack base while they have to attack board.
@@GetsuPlaysCGs-zk2nl Thank you. That explains it.
Agree with a lot of this. Was not terribly excited for set 2 overall and prerelease didn't change that drastically
I think aggro could work, I won 1 event 4-0 with aggro Han yellow, and even got a turn 4 kill to avoid Rey flipping, but I did notice the general trend of grindier decks, Rey in particular, doing really well. In my other 2 events I went 3-1 and 2-1 both times losing to the Rey green that won overall. Aggro wouldn't be my choice, but I had rough card pools that forced it. That 4-0 deck had 0 rares, but I did get 2 5/6 Freighters, which is kind of a bomb for sealed. I do agree the tribal thing seems unfortunately rng rough for limited formats, like I never got upgrades, so Mando was out. SOR felt like more cards were passable on their own while SOTG feels more like interesting things to build around in constructed. Will see after doing a few drafts. My larger (now too late) concern for those prereleases was, did the boxes seem very clumpy to you or people at your store? 2 of my 3 boxes were like 90% the same cards with Snoke (seriously, I have 2 copies of almost every rare I own despite so few packs) and the person seated next to me at one of them also got a Snoke box and ran nearly the same deck. Then 2 people seated next to us played mirror Rey green decks...It could just be rng, but made it feel like there were only a couple box content sets instead of completely random packs.
@billtodd2194 turn 4 win is impressive with this card pool. I definitely see red X han being passable for aggro. His ability to dump his hand is pretty powerful and may not need more than something like a desperado freighter or patrol wing to close game with a space push, if necessary. It did seem like pools were similar. Most Rey greens had assault cruiser. Lot of wreckers with han and boba. We had an insane amount of showcases, more than 1 in equivilant of every 6 boxes. Could just be rng or could be issues with sorting and distribution.
@@GetsuPlaysCGs-zk2nl Wow, my area was the reverse. Across events in total I saw ~75 prerelease boxes + prize packs opened for only 1 showcase. That's like 1 in 23ish boxes.
@@billtodd2194 must have sent them all to red seal gaming 😄
I feel like he's sleeping hard on Ray raya's leader is really really stronger than people give her credit for
@CrimsonEnvec I've been very impressed with her in limited. I think she has potential as a meta call for anti-sabine in premier; tarkin has a deck now too that may be viable as a midrange killer. I'm still leaning towards the nature of their abilities being too weak. Rey does have a strong flip. I may be underrating her. Time will tell.
I think this set’s design reflects its flavor: scrappy underworld elements coming together to create something bigger than themselves. The sealed format was fine. There was some good tabletop play going on, but like any limited format, the bombs are impactful and often game winning. My hope is that Draft is actually quite enjoyable because of the tribal nature. Getting hooked up with a Bo Mando deck is going to be a fun rememberable experience. As for power creep, we’ll have to wait and see as the horses haven’t even left the line. SWU Set 1 has some good meta shifts between Aggro, Midrange, and Control. Boba flooded top 8 early, but that was tempered by reactive changes. As for Darksaber, it actually isn’t that crazy. It’s +4/+3 at 4 where Wing Leader is +2/+2 at 3 with a body and two different upgrades. The same tools that worked on Sabine @ 4 will work the same way. I look forward to your SWU commentary in the future and look forward to you finding fun and enjoyment with the game.
That's true. The flavor does translate to the gameplay.
Didn't use caveat correctly here but I think intention of use is clear.
How do you mitigate the downside of evazan?
@@midnightcarnivalxxR I don't play him
@midnightcarnivalxxR my friend tried him yesterday. I had warned he's a big risk cause it can lead to blow outs as opponent has more agency on when he's removed. He played me round 2 and I kept him on board till turn 4 then did a 10 resource line. He was not happy. Maybe with multiple ma klunkies, other than that he's probably a dead rare in limited.
Oh sorry, this is the constructed video! Ma klunkie is the best way. I'd go up to 3 copies of ma klunkie to run evazan. Bounce him if board state looks bad then resource him. Use evazan as aggro only. Only go face with him and let opponent deal with shield.
@@GetsuPlaysCGs-zk2nlthank you kindly for the replies!
Great video. Certainly helped me get 4-0 with Cad Bane yesterday.
Great video man!
You make very good videos with excellent points, but I fear they might be too long. Most SWU videos I see are like 20 minutes tops.
I was thinking about breaking it into parts. Do you think it could have been more concise or should it have been separate videos?
@@GetsuPlaysCGs-zk2nl Separate Videos, because the content itself was good. This one, for example, can be divided into one on the current meta and one on the future meta. Maybe do an overview of the future meta and then focus on a few decks that are particularly good (which I see you later did). Another good example is your other video on playing limited in set 2. That could easily be several videos like one on prerelease style sealed strategy, one on evaluating prerelease leaders, one on best cards in each aspect (maybe you can do two aspects in a video), one on draft strategy. For examples from other channels, check out TowerNumberNine and KTOD. Those seem to be popular and are usually 20-30 minutes with few exceptions.
That's a good point. This should have been two separate videos with the second referencing the existence of the first.
Mon Mothma?
Yea
Hey man, great video recap of the event and your thoughts process behind your deck selection. Only thing to note throughout the video is the midrange deck that you faced twice was a krennic and not an iden. Would have been the same outcome as you mentioned it had no answer to hard control and was a gamble I decided to take. This was my first store showdown and I had a blast, great event.
Ah, yea, I made a few errors. I wasn't planning this. Notes would have been super helpful. Apologies about getting your leader wrong and I'm glad you had fun. Congrats on top 4!
