The L Taraval rail service will return back to service on September 28, running between SF Zoo and Embarcadero Station. We can finally be able to enjoy a 1-seat ride from SF Zoo to Downtown SF without needing to make a transfer to Muni Metro at West Portal Station, or having to take the very infrequent LBus Special which runs every 50 minutes, and running weekdays only.
Frequency for the L Taraval Trains will be every 10 mins for weekdays and 12 mins for weekends. On weekends before the subway opens, L trains will be interlined with the M between SF Zoo and Balboa Park Station.
Seeing a Battery Electric Bus on the LBus is something we may never see again, once the L Taraval returns to rail service on September 27... This is my first time riding a BEB on the LBus, and also very likely my last time!
