Dji neo is not good in high altitude and windy places I owned Dji neo and Potensic Atom I used my atom in windy places and in high altitude and I used my dji neo for places with lots of obstacles in low altitude

How did you manage to get 41 mns of recording time?
@@sinister4lyf do you mean 14 mins flight time, using the RC N3 you have the option not to record the aerial footage while your drone is airborne but you can instead use screen record app on your phone it will give you extra juice of your battery an extra minutes of flight time.

@@WandersonRC3 yes I was not, but after that experience I'm more careful hehe
Man that was a great save I would have had to land mine and let my heart rate calm down lol and I also think it may have been air turbulence or a thermal causing trouble especially over water that's why they also say don't fly over the top of cliffs the face of the cliff can cause very turbulent air that you have no way of seeing its happened to me with my original mavic air as well as my mini 2 in both scenarios water and off a cliff face both times I saved the drone but I don't mine saying it scared the hell out of me
Neo was never designed to fly over strong winds in the sea or not. Its not bcoz of the sensors or the weight, but bcoz of its small engines. It can't stabilize itself on strong winds, especially on high altitudes.
here is what actually happened ua-cam.com/video/tKwmDnVtj7Q/v-deo.html
@@jitechtv89 as i said, neo was never designed for strong winds. and higher altitude has stronger winds, making it unstable. also, wind below is not the same up there.
How do i get the system and license?

Very interesting and informative. I've never seen satellites drop like that. But I also never get 32 satellites either. Where I am luck if I get 16. I usually get around 8 to 12. This lost of satellites happens in the area before or did it only happen with the Neo? I want a FPV drone and debating between the Neo and the Avata 2. Avata 2 of course better but is it worth that much more money better?
I think it's a matter of where you live on Earth. Logically, GPS satellites are geostationary, which means that you'll have the best signal near the equator. I live in Europe and on average I have 27-29 satellites in range. In the settings, I think you can change the type of navigation - either relative to satellites, or relative to the terrain.
turbulence😊
One other possibility is solar storm weather. Believe it or not when the sun produces a solar mass ejection, it sends a wave of ions into our atmosphere. It wreaks havoc on our satellites and can severely effect GPS satellites in particular. I recently lost a mini 2 while flying during a high KP index. It fried my motherboard. UAV forecast is a great app to install in your phone. A quick flight conditions check can advise you if these storms are present. Right now, the sun has produced some of the highest sun spot storms ever recorded. These sun spot storms happen on and off every 11 year cycle and right now we are experiencing massive sun spot activity. No joke, This is something every drone pilot should check before flying.
Any drone with downward sensors will have problems over water but it's usually when it's only a few feet above the water. Not when it's over a 100 feet in the air. Judging the the sudden jolts, it looks more like your neo go hit with a sudden small pocket of wind. Just because it's calm at the ground doesn't mean wind isn't swirling in the air above you.

Sat (GPS) connections lost. Kp index was really high in my area sometime last week .. could be the reason for the lost Sats IMO
@@aragon1968 yes, but why is it when it's over the sand it went normal again.
@@jitechtv89 Coincidence? Probably a case "wrong place at the wrong time". Also, I read recently there was some sort of solar/geomagnetic storm last week .... google it. You might want to read up in that. Fly safe!
@@jitechtv89 that’s because the salt water due to its super high conductivity could make any electronic equipment operating over it more susceptible to suffer interferences during geomagnetic storms

Is it okay to block the bottom sensors with tape to disable its sensors?
@@hiacegrandia9995 not recommended as it is required for DJI vision positioning system, what happened to my neo is that it loses enough GPS satellites while airborne making it drift and enter to attitude mode. And upon reviewing my flight logs it was swift by a sudden gusts of wind produce by the waves from the bay I guess, but DJI also suggests to avoid flying over waters or mirror like surfaces as it disturbs vision positioning system of DJI drones.
I flew today over water pretty much the entire flight and didn’t have any problem🤷♂️
@@delrayguy399 good for you mate, I have investigated from my flight logs of what went wrong and it was a sudden gust of wind may be produce by the waves from the shoreline it was like being suckin into the sea. The drone is light to handle such gusts or breeze.
That would be heartbreaking to lose. Glad you pulled it out of danger.
@@gliderrider yeah I have it for like a month now, and It would be depressing losing it too early, the good thing is I have practiced to cheaper drones before and kind of like build a muscle memory controlling in times of unfurtunate mishaps.
Am I the only one who saw the radio tower just before he lost control?
@@C_A_S_66 yes there is a radio tower nearby and cellular as well, I too is guessing It might be the cause somehow.
Hangin parin salarin nyan..kahit sabihin mo pang wlang gust at breeze.
While it is true that a DJI drone whose anti-collision sensors have not been recently calibrated can cause the drone to stop unexpectedly, I doubt very much that the drone would wobble and nearly go out of control as your Neo drone did in this footage. If you have not recently calibrated the compass, IMU, and camera gimbal, it would be a good idea to carry out those calibrations right away. Failure to calibrate a DJI drone can result in all manner of abnormal flight behavior, so it is wise to eliminate sensor calibration as a possible cause of problems as a first step.
@@riverbankfisher yes I did, recalibrate it right after the that flight and also review the flight logs and it indeed the sudden gusts of wind making it unstable and being suck into the sea this drone at 135g is extremely susceptible even to a very lightest gusts and breeze of wind while airborne.
Never have problem too flying over the water
Its on the manual. Avoid fly over the water...
@@AivinGarciait was on gps mode sir using RC N3 i got the FMC neo variant and suddenly it loses sufficient GPS while airborne making it unstable and drifting sideways.
I have dji neo but never incounter any issue in under water but you update the neo into the latest firmware so that issue will fixed
I had a very similar experience. But mine DID go in the water. DJI scanned my logs and warrantied it and said "there was a flight control issue, not pilot's error". So I have no idea what to think. But it definitely feels like the water is the cause.
Sana sa susonod na labas pwede na over water kc yung hover x1 pro max na bagong labas ay pwede sa tubig at sa lowlight..
