Ruger Precision Rimfire Upgraded - New Scope & Bipod
Howdy, y'all!
This video is random but should have been posted a couple months ago.
I took my Burris Fullfield IV 3-12 X 42 Illuminated from my Savage 110 High Country in 270' and threw it on my good ole' Ruger Precision Rimfire in 17 HMR.
Also added a Magpul Bipod on there, and I have to say, wow, was that a sweet decision!
Anyway, this is both informative and an update on this phenomenal set-up!
Keep plinking!

Get the Green Mountain 22" barrel or the FJF 18". Both are bentz chamber. Be a great video to see how much it'll do.

Couple of issues I see. 1st. Git rid of the scope. It's in your way. Anything you will that firearm for will be within 150 yards. Iron sights will be plenty accurate for that range. Second is a design upgrade. It needs an ejector, not an extra tor. Think new England arms slug gun. It sends the spent shells flying.

I had a 45-70 with an ejector. It ejected sometimes. As far as iron sights, they get hard to see at the last few minutes of shooting hours.

Nope. Licensed by Umarex, approved by HK so it’s basically a true replica in .22.

The Savage 110 High Country is a highly reliable hunting rifle, known for its accuracy, durability, and advanced features like the AccuTrigger and fluted barrel. Ideal for long-range hunting, it performs well in harsh environments.

Did you ever zero your optic? You were already shooting high at 16/50 yards. Doesn't seem like your red dot was even zeroed. Likely why you weren't hitting paper at 100yards.

What’s up! I did the 25 yard challenge I found on arfcom with this rifle and I got 27/30 shots. If you haven’t done it, the targets are about the size of a dime. They also have 50 & 100 yard targets. It’s really fun. The first time I did it, I only got about 16 hits. I have since upgraded the grip to a flat/zero 📐 which might have helped. Have you tried the challenge? I actually like this rifle even though others seem to not like it so much
