Jesus was not the orginal story teller, the pagan gods did everything first. Jesus' parables and everything good in the Bible is an inversion or realignment. Jesus knocks on your door metaphorically as demons literally knock on doors. Jesus is the True Vine as Dionysus or Cain in my understanding is the vine in paganism. He is Shiva. Shiva did kill his half brother like in Abel. Pan was the orginal god of sacrifice, thus Jesus resurrects him by a sacrifice of himself.
