That beautiful fish needs and deserves at least 10 gallon aquarium. Size wise it is just a few inches bigger and a few dollars more expensive but it would make a significant difference for the betta dude. Of course, 20 gallon would be ideal so it could have more space to explore and more fish "roommates" like a school of 10-15 Neon Tetras for example.

@@Rnguyen85 It usually lasts longer with larger setups. No hate since it seems like you had no ill intentions. But for future reference, African cichlids tend to do much better in larger tanks since they get bigger. African cichlids can be a great long-term fish when set up right!
