Also, when it comes to the flagging tape, I suggest picking a color depending on your season. For instance, don’t use a orange during fall. You can lose the visibility of it at a distance. Also keep a small sharpie marker and write some crucial information for your rescuers on the flagging tape, such as your name, the date the time the direction you’re traveling and if you’re injured or not

Good size and weight for a small pack. In a get home situation, I imagine a person would walk a lot and use up a lot of calories. I would challenge you to add at least 6,000 calories ready-to-eat. This would give you about 72 hours to get home. I would also add a standard size water bottle carrier to the belt and an empty water bottle which you can fill as soon as you can locate water or take a full bottle from your vehicle, if you have it and don't have to rush away. To the other side of the belt, I would add a metal cup so you can cook and fill it with an additional 6,000 calories of dried food which you can utilize if you can find water. A can or two of the fuel they use to keep food warm at a party and 4 normal hex wrenches or 4 of the thin L shaped tent stakes shoved in the earth around the fuel can make a handy stove. I think you could easily get all of this into your setup and still keep the total weight at under 6 lbs by ditching some of your redundancies. If you were in a situation where you could only grab this bag when abandoning your vehicle and your family was with you and you were far from help, a couple of meals would go a long long way.

Great little well thought out kit, with your Wave can't you contact Leatherman and get them to fix it under their 25 year guarantee. Might be worth a try and trying to realign the pliers could snap them completely especially if you use heat. Anyways great kit with some good choice items. Atb from the U.K
