Sea Fishing Scotland - Isle of Mull - Trying a New Area + Catch & Cook

I went to Mull to explore a stretch of Coastline that I’d wanted to fish for a while. I expected to catch loads of Pollock and Wrasse but only managed one of each. I did catch a few other fish, including a very welcome Mackerel, which came just in time for the barbecue. Not the day I expected but seen some amazing wildlife and managed to catch a few fish so I still had a great time in a beautif...

Back down to Eyemouth and although I didn’t catch either of my target species, I still had great fun catching lots of fish. I managed to get to a couple of spots I’d never fished before and the climb down the cliff at the second spot paid off, with a fish after 5 minutes and plenty more after that. #fishing #seafishing #scotland #nature #lurefishing Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): upp...
Underwater Diving Ducklings - A Family of Ducks stop by while Rainbow Trout Fishing

Something a bit different, took the opportunity to record a family of ducks that came by while bait fishing at Clubbiedean Trout Fishery. 3 Fish landed on the day in total but I was too busy recording the ducks and missed half the fishing action. Got some amazing footage of the ducklings so well worth it. #nature #fishing #ducklings #duckling #wildlife

The First Day of a Two Day Camping trip, I’m fishing for Wrasse and Pollock. I expected to catch a few mackerel too but it must of still been a bit early in the year for mackerel up there. We still had an action packed day with plenty of wrasse and pollock, some of the pollock were a good size too. Also managed to catch an Edible Crab in the pot, but it wasn’t big enough to keep. #fishing #seaf...

Back at the Estuary this week. Caught lots of mostly small Flounder and lots of other little fish. The highlight was the new species for me, the Rockling. Also included a few clips of last weeks trip to Greenock, not the most successful day but nice to check out some new locations. i have no idea why you took that HUGE bag of kindling, fill a 1ltr SIGG fuel bottle with blue clean paraffin only need a tiny amount let it soak into driftwood 5 mins bobs your uncle, light small pile at first til the paraffin is gone and add fresh wood on top NO SMELL to taint your fish and a tiny load. take tin foil or a foldable grate. JUST SAYING. been fishing Scotland for 50 yrs
Hi can I ask how the midges were at this time of year on Mull great video as always
@@kf-dk5pb had fairly strong breeze at all times, didn’t get bothered by midges at all. Got a couple of bites from deer fly and had quite a few ticks by the end of the weekend though.
Great video again pal your dog has some life eh
What a great adventure . Your dog Lana is amazing , such a wonderful companion ,and a total sweetheart. She's having a fantastic life with you that every dog deserves, but few get . respect to you . Super that you saw so much wildlife The Sea Eagles were amazing . Adders are very shy snakes and usually just dive for cover as soon as they sense anything apart from a frog or a small prey item , pleased you got to see one and your pal was safe. That grilled mackerel looked so good. Keep up the brilliant videos . Tight Lines mate
@@KeefsCattys cheers mate, much appreciated
Great video again 👍 maybe not as many fish as you hoped for , but the scenery and wildlife was brilliant.👍👏👏👏🏴
SCOTLAND is my country born and bred here passion runs in me deeply
dogs LOVE FISH and stinky cheese or any cheese come to think of it NICE VID
That looks amazing 🎉

Beautiful snake .
Is this to the right of the harbour
@@JohnPygall Aye, behind the golf course
Great video. I think I spoke to you at the harbour at lochaline whilst I was spinning and had a cple of small sea trout. If it was yourself it was nice to meet you.👍
Aye that was me, nice to meet you too. Cheers
Just got home from a 2 weeks break from mull cought some 6-7lb pollock
@@Drystonewallingcumbria2002 nice one, that’s what I was hoping for. Not the deepest spot I fished but still surprised I only managed to catch the one wee one. Cheers
Heading there soon, what flys were getting them in the wee pools? Great vid 👍
@@Mikeyreelsandwheels I think I had a wee Adams on for most of the time before I lost it on a back cast. Can’t remember what I changed to. Good luck 🤞
@@N57Fishing Thankyou, what’s it like in the actual loch?
@@Mikeyreelsandwheels it can be tough sometimes and can get very windy, black and red wet flies are my usual starting point in most hill lochs. Cheers
@@N57Fishing that was the plan 👌🏼 cheers
Loving the videos ,keep them coming. Thanks for sharing 👍
Well done mate. I'm heading that way next month to do a couple of videos for the first time, so it was great to see a recent video of the place. Thanks for sharing mate
I was between Grass point and the end of loch Spelve, I honestly think I was just there on a bad day, not the deepest but looked decent on navionics. I’ve always had good luck on the mainland opposite that spot too. But if you don’t know the island, North west of the island is probably a more reliable area for better fish.
@@N57Fishing nice one mate cheers
Get yourself some good quality hiking boots, way easier and safer traversing the rocks and cliffs
Fun fact - the adder (Vipera berus) is the only snake that lives above the arctic circle. I saw them in Glen Coe when I was a nipper. Great video.
@@u4ea70 Thanks, much appreciated
What a place, class video bro. Keep it up
Another good video, keep them coming. Good spot on that Adder.
Great video, looks brilliant, congrats on your multi species💪👌🎣
An adder bite wouldn't be too good for that lovely old dog. Your channel really deserves to grow, it's a fine video. Nice one!

Great video again , lovely scenery and nice variety of fish .👏👏👏
Good video I would have crapped it if I came across a snake.
I hope you realise how lucky you are young man? some would kill to fish your marks
@@davidoldboy5425 This one was brutal to get to, about 2 miles from the nearest road and very uneven ground. I took far too much gear with me too because it looked a fairly easy walk on the map. Cheers
I've driven round Mull a couple of times and fished a few marks, never had much luck! You have done well!
By, that well-earned mackerel looked tasty. Glad the dog got some too.
Thanks, it was amazing. Can’t get fresher, swimming to grilling in about 2 minutes.
Well done Looked a cracking spot Going to Mull beginning of August cant wait
@@PaulBrownlee-gx3ql It was really beautiful but I thought I would have got more pollock, maybe on another day I would have had more luck. Still a great trip though. Cheers

cracker , hard to beat the classic flees on the hill lochs

forced ads I NEVER WATCH YT ADS EVER good vid once i got past the YT CRAP
Sadly but true like many other normal leasure people that visit Dunbar and elsewhere find out what the minority of freemasons that believe that they have "authority" to behave with their arrogance and to hell with anyone else. The rowing club is run by freemasons and the harbour trust is also run by freemasons and think they own it when it's supposed to be a charity. In fact they are a horrible lot . But i shall apologies on their behalf for not giving you a chance to withdraw your fishing gear.
Hiya everyone , Great clarity on your vids and to be honest it's about time someone or groups get together and form proper stairs or some kind of lift for public access. One person mentioned caravan site but i think divers pay a fee for accessing the beach. Thanks
Nice video mate. Remember.....arseholes will always be arseholes 👍😁
What beautiful scenery
Crackin vid! Watched slipperylimpets?
@@andypeutherer4218 aye one of my favourite channels. He makes catching big pollock look easy 😂
@@N57Fishing yeah, yours was a superb video, incredible cod there, keep it up chap
Try the caravan site mate, getting loads there at the moment
Nice 👍 you can park at the old entrance to the power station and walk down the road to the old gates, and right over to where you were on hard solid ground. A lot easier for the doggo
@@Heavyhitter981 cheers, will go that way next time, wasn’t sure if there would be fences to climb or not. Is the pier still sealed off or can you access it now?
@@N57Fishing nah easy access, people walk dogs down there all the time. Last time i was there pier was blocked off, there is ladders from the water up. You can get on the bit that sticks out next to the pier but no the big pier itself unless you have paddle board/ boat.
The door on the pier is open was down there on Saturday 👍
Most folk catch mackerel further up the river Gourock shoreline , train station and the Esplanade at Greenock
You must be near the war memorial , entrance to the marina .. ?
Quarter mile down from marina
Wow fantastic video, was great to watch. Gave me a good laugh when you missed a few of those brownies 😅
Hi bud. Great video. How do you get down to the spot you were fishing,
@@tedhall20009 I cut through the woods from here maps.app.goo.gl/mFfc6kUDUPyRanLt6?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy not easy but doable. Also have to climb the wall, you could get all the way along the shore from the carpark too but would take a long time
You can walk down through the old power station entrance instead of having to cut through the trees. A lot less hassle 👍
Hi, Ive recently bought a small boat and keep it Troon marina. Was out yesterday and there are plenty of Mackerel. Didnt catch anything but Mackerel.
@@colinboyd1551 I must of just been unlucky. Really thought I’d get a some, I was hoping to barbecue a few. I’m away camping this weekend so hopefully get some then. Cheers
@@N57Fishing keep in touch and I could take you out for the day when the weather suits.
@@colinboyd1551 thanks, amazing offer but I’ve recently got a wee boat too, only been out a couple of times, mostly practicing launching. Not caught anything yet but have the first proper fishing trip planned for in a few weeks. Cheers
I've caught many scorpion fish off Dysart and seen some really big ones. For some reason they were a hated fish around there.
There used to be, allegedly, bass from there when the power station was still standing and fully functioning.
@@greggferns3278 I don’t doubt it, I used to catch loads at Cockenzie power station when I was wee. People still catch plenty at Torness. It’s not really my cup of tea though, it gets so busy and lots of people keeping every tiny fish caught. Cheers
There is bass further up no reason why they would be there too 👍
Very enjoyable, and what a lovely old dog she is.
