    I've worked for almost 30 years in tv/film/commercial/sports/corporate/news/docs (you get the idea) in production sound. I also have a music recording studio background. I like most people thought AI quality to the level of taking jobs was decades away until the day Sora came out. Then I heard Suno as well and ya.... I'm really grateful I've been planning my exit for awhile but I'd honestly say 90% of my industry will be out of work in 3 years or at the very least be heavily affected by it income wise. I could go on for hours on specifics but ya in a nutshell while pretty much every industry is going to be destroyed by AGI in the coming years my industry is going to get rocked hard pretty early on. What's scary is every single freelancer I work with that I've had the opportunity to bring it up to them, every single one of them has completely ignored what I said and completely are in denial and putting their heads back in the sand. It's been a phenomenon to me how defensive people are when it comes to major changes.

    Concerning the first half: I understand the termonology. I didn't meed to go to film school to understand what "frames per second" means. It's pretty self-explanatory. Also, cutting and splicing? These aren't solely film words. They're English words that can be applied to many scenarios. It must suck to have to pay for film school in order to understand basic terms Concerning the second half: yes. This is called advancement in technology

    Hollywood films are so formulaic now, AI might be an improvement on story-by-committee. But the number of award winning scripts that have been shelved over the decades is in the thousands. With the means of production in the hands of the writers to produce their scripts exactly as they imagined (for very little money); I'll gladly pay to watch them. I hope there's a special streaming service just for those films.

    • @AhmadKouta
      @AhmadKouta 5 місяців тому

      I do believe AI will offer a great improvement in filmmaking. But do you think the quality of the script alone is enough to generate a successful film? In other words, does it compensate for other equally important factors such as audience reception, production value, acting performances, marketing strategies, distribution channels?

    100% disagree. You will never be able to make the logic of programming stick if you don't apply it. Learn basic programming and make some simple projects,, then learn higher architecture/design patterns. Once you've done that you can go back to your simple projects and rewrite them in a better way. Do *something* with the lessons you learn, otherwise you won't realize the power they give you

    • @AhmadKouta
      @AhmadKouta 6 місяців тому

      Where did you hear him say 'friends'? What he's expressing is, 'you shouldn't hire people SOLELY for what they know now.' Certainly, they'll do their job regardless of the reasons for their hiring, but his point is to hire individuals who are both knowledgeable and passionate about their work.

    • @EdwinRosario432
      @EdwinRosario432 6 місяців тому

      @@AhmadKouta you're advocating hiring people for something OUTSIDE of them doing a job. I don't want a person who is friendly, a go getter, or anything else. I want the person who CAN DO THE JOB THE BEST. IT IS about who knows THE MOST NOW. I'm not here to get to know you or be friends, I'm paying you to do a job and I DO expect you to be someone who knows the most about that job. Idc about some other character traits that doesn't help in the completion of that particular job, which is what this guy is saying. I don't want a 7/10 doctor or plumber because he's a go getter, friendly, or always smiles. Get me the 10 out of 10 that's an angry and a son of a bitch thats an expert NOW. Not 5 or 10 years down the line.

    • @AhmadKouta
      @AhmadKouta 6 місяців тому

      I'm not advocating for anything; I listen to all opinions. However, if you work in the tech industry, I believe being passionate about your job is crucial. Why? Because it's a dynamic field that evolves rapidly over time. If today, you're a 10/10 in one programming language or any software tool, expect a more efficient tool to be released tomorrow. If you're not passionate about your tech field, you may be left behind as others embrace the most recent skills or software. Passion for what you do turns you into an everyday learner, and, in my opinion, that makes a difference.

    • @EdwinRosario432
      @EdwinRosario432 6 місяців тому

      @@AhmadKouta To be in the top 10% of your field, by definition you have to "be passionate". That's not anything new. What I'm saying is only take the best of the best. Whatever that best means to the person hiring you. But don't start hiring people with the intent of training people up. It's a waste of time.
