Stiffel Lincoln table lamp review
One of my most beloved lamp, the model shown in this video, SF-LINCOLN (known as "Stiffel Lincoln table lamp"), is the British variant of the Stiffel TL-N8411-RB, and is manufactured jointly with Elstead Lighting, Stiffel's UK partner & importer.
As Stiffel products did not sell well in Europe, their European line have totally discontinued. It therefore became an imperative that I secure a few before it was too late!! At least, the one in the video is now gone...

Inspired by a few UA-camrs from the U.S., I felt really tempted to do a demonstration of the light switches across my apartment but in the United Kingdom. On the left (Platform 1) is the 14:54 train to Oxford departing (look at the smoke and listen to the brutal startup sound!!!), then calling at Oxford Parkway and Oxford. Good try! Take it from me though - nowhere near as spooky as Aldwych (been down there 5 times on LUL contract work); although I've never spent anywhere near as much time in the Kennington Loop.

That IS SCARY
We had a problem with our en-suite extractor fan in June 2019 One morning I switched the light on and the fan started to make squealing sounds so I turned it off from the isolation switch then later on in the afternoon turned it back on and no noise. My dad tried to see if it worked but still no noise so he cleaned it because we thought it has clogged up with dust. After we cleaned it , the fan still seized up so he tried to get it going then the blades started to spin. Then it got quicker and quicker until it squealed for a few seconds then it was fine. Later on in the night it did it again. The next day we tried to oil it with WD40 but did it again the next morning. We took it out to give it a proper oil and it had the same moment but quicker. I did it again but the blades were spinning straight away. Then my dad ordered a new extractor fan and it came the next day. We replaced the old fan and it was nice and quiet :) Models Old fan: Greenwood airvac axs100t 4 inch New fan: Greenwood airvac axs100tr 4 inch
That's really interesting... I've always wondered why the fan was squeaking and thought it was because the blade wasn't properly fastened to the motor shaft. I live in China and used to have really cheap JinLing recessed exhaust fans 160m³/h 26 watts, £8 each. The body resonated with the ceiling. I had four and all failed. The motor is losing torque and is probably running out of lubrication. Without my knowledge my parents hired an electrician who replaced one of those with another very cheap JinLing and now the motor is losing power again. Replaced two others with Panasonic FV-24JA2C with DC motor (as you can see in another video of mine), 160m³ for just 8W. Costed over £100 each but worked properly without any issues for years. Replaced the last one with a cheaper Panasonic with AC motor (FV-24CU8C, 120m³ for 11W, ≈£50) and worked fine though not as ideal as the DC one.
