This IS NOT GOOD PRACTICE 2 CARERS SLINGS DONT ALL HAVE GREEN His arms shud hold on Chair against a wall Women like you drop my mum, 3 x Re train This video makes me panic
Soooo helpful thank you
If without the hoyer lifting, it is better to use the 'Telison positioning bed pad with handles' to help patient on transfering by two persons' assist. It could be ordered from US amazon.
Once the patient is in the wheelchair, what is the best way to get the sling out from underneath them?
I. Think. It’s. Śafer. Wit. A. Hoyerlift
Bro is obviously unable to assist, his arm is now crushed and we are now tending a complete meltdown stalling all progress, oh lord you've just crushed his other arm 😢 😂 sure you are the instructor? Joke! But he is not happy about his arms being under him!🤣 otherwise good video 😅
Simon almost fell on the ground. 😮😊 That bed is not safe. 😮
She does not know what she is doing. The sling part around the legs does NOT go on the outside - it goes between the legs and cross link such that the rightside sling hooks to the left of the cradle and the leftside to the right cradle hook so the patient does not slip out.
That’s what I was thinking because in my placement we put between legs and cross it
Absolutely
Would be a good video if you knew the English dictionary
Hard to do that when they cannot bend their knees and are over 250lbs its so hard I've been struggling to do it my client is so huge but I'm trying ❤thanks for this video
You don't have to bend there knees you just gently help roll them on their sides to adjust the sling properly you attach the loops and pretty much push the lift the there sitting place and lower them but it's better to use one hand on the crank and the other on the loop in the back of the sling to help put them in the chair as close to the back and up right as good as you can get it if that kinda makes sense lol sorry explaining it is harder than doing it 😂
@jasminetaylor975 yeah every person is different and physically not all are able to do what we want and able to move and roll on side when they are completely immobile and overweight Like 300lbs obesity is a big issue also trying to move these bigger clients in and out of bed to /w/chair and shower using hoyer been a challenge 🙆😅
It’s ok to be nervous
There’s should be two people using hoyer lift ..that’s what they thought us
Impractical in a home setting. These companies don't send two aides to each immobile patient for in home care. We are on our own. In a facility you'll likely have help, but I am very thankful for the proper techniques for doing it alone!
Gotta be careful.. even with gear you can get hurt. 😮😮
The Apple Watch uses microphone and gyroscope to make sure that you’ve actually fell, it used microphone to hear if you make a grunt if you fall
Jerose Seei
Removing the sling while in the wheelchair would’ve have been nice
Handelt
Thank you
Why not use electric one??
While quite convenient, not every home, or Facility, will receive an electric Hoyer lift. It could be an insurance decision, based on cost. So, it's better to learn how to use a manual lift.
If you fake it, *it knows*. You have to actually make yourself fall, for example: trip your leg on purpose. Not fake the whole fall. It knows elevation and your height.
Why is this video edited just before the fall is detected?
I know from experience that the Watch really does react correctly. I tried to ‘fake it’ and it never managed to work. There’s something about the real thing which seems to be completely different.
What colors do you put to have the client in a sitting position I do home health aid here in New York City my patient has the same sling I’m still learning how to do the hoyer lift .
For the sitting position, I use the loops closest to the sling for small patients. Medium second closet. And so on depending on the patient's size! Hope this helps
Thank you sir
Very nice
who showers with the apple watch on???😳😳😳
I've done it before. Accidentally and Litterally. You can swim with them on!!

Good
Looking forward to seeing more videos! I think that you deserve way more views! Have you seen Promosm!? I think it would really help you grow your channel!
Good condition and width of width and width width
Rdjxbhxvxjchjxycjkml
You didn’t yes it right
I think the padding minimized the impacts of the falls. So the watch didn't respond
You need to fall hard
Kellen Scruggs you kinda suck
@Foxy Lmao furry stfu
You can’t fake a fall. It only reacts to a real impact.
What elderly person or disabled will wear this gear&/ or have this apple watch???
I have cerebral palsy and I'm watching this video because I am interested in buying one.
@@zzkeokizz, don’t watch this video, it doesn’t do it justice
@@zzkeokizz I’d recommend it for someone that has a movement disorder, it could save your life one day possibly
My grandfather plays Black ops on his PS5 all day dude, old people aren't all anti-technology.
You didn’t give the watch enough time to react
