    Is this a thermann? Mine just started leaking today squirting water from the top. Does this mean I have to replace it with a new water tank? Or is it repairable?

    The COLD is reversed thread. (turn left to close) Seems to be the trend. Is this because of scalding?

    • @orbitplumbing
      @orbitplumbing Місяць тому

      I would say you might have the hot and cold on the wrong sides. Normally the taps turn opposite directions for the sake of aesthetics. Normally ceramic disc taps will have a lever that turns 1/4 turn. Some might come with cross handle tap handles. This might be where the confusion is.

    Horrible things, mine will either burn you all of a sudden or freeze you or both at the same time. I've turned my HWS down to it's lowest temp (60c) to stop the burning thing from happening. It's a new orange cap like the one in the video. I'll be bypassing mine.

    ok you said that the dial doesn't increase the temperature of the water. So what does ??

    • @orbitplumbing
      @orbitplumbing 3 роки тому

      That is slightly incorrect. The unit automatically sits at 65° to make sure bacteria can not grow. The dial actually makes the unit go a bit harder but that also increases the temperature a little bit. You would not want your water over 50° at the tap as that can become very dangerous. In Australia they need to be fitted with a tempering valve at the hot water outlet. This mixes a touch of cold water in with the very hot water to bring the temp down to a safe level. You cant really make the water hotter than what you recieve from the unit on max setting.
