Why is this band so non popular? I’m listening to one of their albums and they are absolutely fantastic!! They have this country folk vibe very similar to Grateful Dead. What the hell is going on?
I wanted to call bullshit, until I went back and replayed it. When I saw his purple hair, I knew that you were correct. I've seen him in other videos either playing or doing interviews and I remember him having the purple hair! 🤣
Omg they ruined the song if your going to sing your song sing it right I went to go see John sacada omg just bad he ruined his songs not like on record I was so pissed wasted money
What causes your brain to conclude that the word your is a suitable substitute for 'you are'...and what do you figure the purpose of the word you're might possibly be? Whiners are all stupid.
Jon Secada, stupid...you got neither name right, yet it's your own choice of (off-topic) subject. You ought to be ashamed of how you present yourself to strangers.
Took five years for me to stumble upon your posting, Cheryl, but so appreciative of FINALLY having seen it, that I simply had to reach out and thank you. BTW, in case you did not know, I wrote this reflecting a true story of my puppy love for and total rejection by a new girl who moved onto my parents' block. At least she provided the inspiration for one of my favorite creations, so thanks 🙏 to Theresa, for unknowingly becoming a heroine in a rock song, and even more gratitude to you, Ms. Bliss, for posting it! Blessings finally to all who were there, those who viewed your posting and, of course, my fellow Cornerstones for allowing this acoustic version to have been shared with our audience that night! Ray
Well, I am not impressed. Singing anything else the singer might sound alright. But this makes him sound like a two-bit hack, and does not do the song much if any justice.
I think they did a really good job. If you've never sang or played live, you don't know how challenging it can be, and to do a good job like them, it's really something. I hate all the negative comments on YT and social media; it's disgusting. You could almost excuse it if it was coming from 5 year olds, but it's so immature and undignified. It's easy to be an armchair quarterback. I like to think we can rise above and either say something nice or nothing at all. Is civility and basic decency too much to expect in 2021?? Anyway, thank you to these musicians for sharing this with us. It's a beautiful song, and they covered it nicely.
This isn’t a cover… this is the band that wrote the song. And they performed it horribly. So don’t call sucking up to them “civility and basic decency” when they did a terrible job.
@@DB-cu4hn DB, I stand by my original comments, with the exception of if I accidentally overlooked one of the original members being there on-stage with this performance. Two of the members of the group passed away before this May 2016 performance, and I guess I just mistakenly assumed that this was a cover. But I still don't think they did a horrible job, and it's not sucking up to anyone to not resort to third-grade name-calling. It's easy to criticize, to find fault. Since no one's perfect, it's not hard. And I'll be the judge of what I call things. If we've reached the point where not acting like an asshole is "sucking up," then it's a sorry state to be in. And it is also my own personal opinion. I'm not saying everyone should think like me, but if you don't like something there's a classy and more adult-like way to put things, not the grade-school bullshit I typically see on comments and social media. So in one short comment, you contradicted my own personal opinion which is subjective and by its nature is not up for debate, and you also misrepresented my whole take as sucking up. I totally disagree, and anyway, I'd rather be mistaken for sucking up than for acting like a jerk. Have a nice life.
If you notice, that's Jim Peterik on guitar. So not really AHJ. Mitch, SKip, and John had already passed away. That's Mitch's brother Ted on vocals. Ted always claimed that he wrote the song. Not true. Skip Haynes wrote it. I've played it with Ted several times around town. It's much easier to play than you think. Ted has stolen many ideas over the years. Just sayin'.

Ted wasn't even in the band when this song was recorded/released.
Great song my dad used to drive us kids down lsd when we couldn't sleep
They played at Jaks Pub on Ogden Ave between Naperville and Lisle in the 1970s for a good 6 to 8 months
Thats Ted singing!!
That's unmistakably Jim Peterik on stage.

1st person I noticed. He has a way of standing out.
damn they got old fast huh
man what a beautiful song, love that piano
P R O M O S M 😻
Killer solo. That 3 pickup Les Paul sings.
Thanks JB!❤
Ouch...
saw these chaps at a Chicago street fest years back and it just so happened it was the first time they got together in an even longer ass time 🎶
Glad to see Walter White is still playing drums.

My favorite Christmas song. It says it all.
A little lounge act-ey... I like that picker on the yellow Fender though.
Glad I found this gem <3
They're just jamming. So awesome.
Someone’s been slipping a little too hard on LSD during this performance…
My sister is in the top right and my brother is the bottom left
A great song.
First time I heard this song I was driving South on Lakeshore dr. Chicago Il. Now, how cool is that?
Pretty cool
damn cool
This brought tears to my eyes.
I heard this song on a skate video from 2011. Probably the best skate video from my city
When lead guitar is not part of the band during the song played, the piano guy 🤟🤟
Your so great and miss seeing you live here in Berwyn Love to listen to your song medley your so good at it

Ty for mentoring me, and everything that you're doing for me now!!!!

Oh, yeah, I remember that gig. It was 103 degrees inside that tent! OMG! We almost died!
rest in peace the other members . this is a great song
Is that Jim Peterik singing and playing backup?

@@davidjohnson1654 I like this version, too, despite its imperfections.

Is that Jim Peterik!?
I put money on it.
YUP..."cornerstones of rock" is his thing and an annual event at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, IL
Yes! With the purple hair! 🤣
I live in Chicago and when this song would come on when I was driving LSD to work ...... nothing better! This version is awful.
Gracie Shepard I totally agree with you. This version was awful! He was most likely on some kind of drugs when he was on the stage singing that night!
Lovely god bless
Nice performance of this Christmas medley!
This song is incredible , this live version sucks but this is a good song anyway :)
soul
I wanna be there..
Sou Brasileiro e valorizo e amo muito e essa música. Que conhece sabe...🙏🙏🙏👊👊👊👊

Lovely! Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Brought this Song to my ears. Great tune!
This is my favorite NC6 song!
Isn't there any video, film or whatever of them performing this song in the 1970's?
