It's been a minute huh? I've been stuck with a bit of artblock for a while but I'm slowly starting to get back into things as of late. I still can't say for sure when my next upload will be though.
Anyways, this track was a result of me just messing around in fl studio for a bit, so it has a bit more of an experimental vibe to it. The name and theming are inspired by that phenomenon where you wake up in a dream, which had happened to me a couple times prior to the creation of this song. The background in particular is a reference to a specific dream I had where I had woken up in the middle of the night and tried to turn on my lights. However, despite the LEDs being on, they didn't actually light up the room. Not the most eventful dream but it was still interesting enough to me to inspire the cover art.

Thanks! The drums aren't anything too special, just the usual kicks, snares, and hi-hats with a little bit of sidechaining. There's also a good few layers that mainly serve to add on extra noise and texture which glues everything together to sound cool.

this song actually uses a lot of motifs and samples from my previous works. "metronome", "Years", "Somniphobia", "Melody of Aspirations", and "Contemplations" are all referenced in there somewhere.

I don't think it really "died". Views have always been pretty low with a few exceptions and my upload schedule is about as inconsistent as usual. Either way channel analytics have always been a lesser priority to me.
