Hey bro, project boat came up nicely! 👌 Just thought id share my experiences with owning boats over the last 10 years. I've owned 3 boats and have gone through 7 outboards. Me being a Romanian cheap-skate, ive always chased cut-deal priced older 2-stroke outboards and all of them have let me down one way or another. When it came to having to get my 7th replacement outboard, i 'bit the bullet' and splashed out for a modern 4-stroke outboard which had me thinking why i'd dicked around with all these crappy 2-stroke engines for soo long! It might not be your case, but trust me when i say this; its not the HP that brings joy out on the water, its having confidence and reliability with your outboard engine.

First time watching your channel but i have owned alot of boats and if you plan on keeping the boat upgrade to a 4 stroke engine one day there is no comparison.

They will eat or your other fish.made the mistake of getting some frome a mates pond.we called them the mob squad.cause the waked every other fish.In the end they lived in a bucket out the back for years.lol

Fun for the kids. Terrible invasive fish. Will nip the fins off any other fish you contain with them. In the wild they eat the native fish eggs like the various Gudgeons and Gobies found in our freshwater streams.

Mosquito fish, they are an introduced pest. They don't eat mosquitos. They are called that as they swarm like mosquitos

I love the all things you do especially your boat project. A 225hp Merc will be a lot of fun. The boat has plenty of beam so the extra weight should be fine, providing your transom is solid.

Hey boss good work on that boat, Glad to see the channels back up and running.,. Just a couple of things the Help.You out and make the boat more fishible Worked at a marine repair shop for a while.We did this for a few customers I'd recommend get the hydraulic our manual jack plate Which allow you to raise the motor and run in skinnier water And Replace that motor bracket with a armstrong bracket Which will give you more runnin footage As well. As a given you swim platform on the boat It also helped that an old motor Provide better performance. But more importantly, just having that swim platform for the little ones.Because you've got small kids like I do. Other than that I would say probably add some taco outriggers So you control a larger swaf of water. But anyway, keep at it. I'm sure the channel will start picking up here. There's more videos you post, and if you ever decide to come stateside, look us up here in Alabama. My Home state here's got some pretty unique species of fish and fresh water that are only found here as well as access to the gulf of mexico Which can knock off a lot of a state side.Salt water species for you.
