Came for information about the Apollo Go to see if I should get it for Christmas, stayed because of the editing and fun conversation :) A lot of scooter-vloggers (and moto vloggers too, for that matter) leave these looooooooong gaps between sentences because they're, understandably, focused on the road, but your editing makes it feel a lot snappier and easier to listen to. Looking forward to watching more from you!
It’s a really fun scooter to be honest. It’s become my go too on my daily travels. I appreciate the compliment on the editing. I like videos with that quick to the point feel.
Good
Thanks
how did you manage to get the app working? It's not working for me.
Before I got my scooter, I watched a video of someone in Philadelphia who showed you need to scan the QR code they send in the box. I have an iPhone, so I’m sure you’ve seen my videos about that. Once I scanned the QR code, it paired with my scooter and it’s been connected ever since!
happy thursday back to ya. and congrats on 500mi. just crossed 1400 on my current scooter. scooters are the best. glad you had a nice convo. i've had some of those stemming from my scooter too. good times. cheers, moto, have a great weekend! 🛴❤
Thanks so much for coming by Scoot! 1400 is a big deal, and I’m so glad you could be here. I hope you have an amazing weekend! It would be so cool if we had something like the Chicago Turkey Trot, but for scooters. That would be a blast!
@@MrMotoMotivate it would. there are some pev groups who do group rides. and i've tried contacting the people who run bike the drive to allow scooters, but they are so far a hard no. approaching 5k on my original scooter, but she spends most of her time resting unless i take her out to keep the battery fresh or someone out on a ride. scoot safe!
Nossa! 👍🏼
I’m so torn between getting an Apollo Go or a Punk Rider Pro. Could you help me decide which would be better for my daily commute?
I’d be happy to help you decide which PEV would be the best fit for your needs. Could you please share a bit more about your daily commute? Is it a short distance from public transportation, or do you have to climb hills? Also, will you use this vehicle exclusively for your commute, or will you ride it on other occasions? Do you prefer gravel or bike paths? These are just a few questions to get started. Once I have these details, I can help you make an informed decision, even if price isn’t the main factor.
I really appreciate your offer to help. I’m looking to replace my current commuter scooter - a Segway G30 Max. My commute is relatively short, a total of 5 miles round trip from home to the train station then to work (and vice versa). The commute is entirely on road only and has one minor hill. Ideally I’d like to spend less than $1500.
Ok that’s an easy recommendation. The Apollo Go Is going to be your best option. If you watch any of my videos you see I take a train to work 4 days per week. I have carried both of them on the train and I can tell you the Apollo Go will get you where you want to go in no time. Now keep in mind the go is not for distance. It’s great in small trips. If you plan to use this for work and then head out on the road then please go with the punk rider.
Voting in America is a symbolic gesture meant to express your belief and devotion to the system to others. Nothing more. Elections are decided by the corporations that make the policy decisions. A candidate does not get on the ballot in America without being bought out.
I appreciate your thoughts. Thank you for sharing them.
So this is a current issue for many owners I see. I was strongly considering this scooter. Now I’m nervous to buy.
Yes, it happened on my first shipped machine. They sent me a second machine, and the issue doesn’t occur anymore. It seems to have been an issue with the first machines they shipped.
@@MrMotoMotivateI’m glad you had this matter rectified by them. When did u initially purchase your scooter? If I do buy this scooter I plan to purchase it from a site like fluid free ride or something so I hope I have no issues. Again only if I buy it from them. Otherwise I’ll just get the updated leopard or gallop pro. Heavier but more power and better suspension and zoom Brakes
@@hhova29 I bought it on March 23, 2024. Fluid wasn’t carrying the scooter then, but now that they partnered with them, quality control issues should be less frequent. If you have any problems, Fluid techs can help. If weight is a concern, stick with the Punk Rider Pro.
@@MrMotoMotivateTyvm. I do hope you’re right. Funny I heard of the quality control issues more broadly from Apollo scooters and many who claim they don’t support. Hope you’re right. An employee at my job purchased a mantis and I see them zooming by on occasion. Have to ask them about it that scooter. lol
Wanted to ask you also I’ve trade a lot about the suspension being very stiff. If I may ask a dumb question would you think one can upgrade the suspension over time or try to retro fit something to the punk pro?
Meus sentimentos pela perda do seu primo! 🤜🏼🤛🏼😔

So Trump actually won the popular vote as well as the electoral college. And believe it or not, he did not pick up swing states this time. He actually chipped away at the blue wall. Now, I saw this happen. I’m actually pro-labor, so I’m with the unions. And let’s just say everyone is kind of blinded to what’s what. But in terms of the party, the party has sort of moved away from labor, labor rights, and more to the rich bourgeoisie, and that’s sort of become the problem. That’s why it really isn’t surprising to most. I sort of joked, because if you remember a couple of years ago, it was a joke that anyone with a MAGA hat would dare to walk in downtown Chicago. But now you have black lesbian studs wearing MAGA hats in their flooding city hall. So at this point, the results did not surprise me. And Illinois got way too close to having Trump win. We haven’t seen this much of a difference within Illinois for years. And part of the problem, too, is a lot of the party, the Democratic Party, they’re ignoring Cook County as well as Chicago. Now, if you’re from Southern Illinois, this is great. But in terms of our governor, he seems to be taking for granted the people of Cook County as well as Chicago and what they want and what they need. For example, state jobs are being moved to places where no one likes Pritzker. And to me, that’s an issue because, again, he’s trying to cater to people who don’t even like him. And I think he’s only doing this because he wants to run for president next time around. For those who don’t know, basically, on the political scene, there was a shadow campaign that was being run behind the scenes that was sort of being orchestrated by Nancy Pelosi. Gavin Newsom was going to the Republican convention as well as the debates trolling the nominees. So it was literally going to be Gavin Newsom, J.B. Pritzker, and others, and they were going to have an open primary. I think this is, again, where Democrats failed the voter because they were anti-democracy. Joe Biden won the primary. They stopped Robert Kennedy from running on the Democratic ticket, or in the primary, excuse me. And when Joe dropped out, the fact is, Kamala was just installed. So, yeah, it’s a bigger problem. If the Democrats were pro-democracy, we would have seen an open primary, and we might have seen a difference here. But next time around, place your bets. Gavin Newsom will be the nominee. J.B. Pritzker will run, but again, he has no base. I mean, if J.B. Pritzker somehow won the nomination, he’s going to have people getting behind him. But overall, J.B. Pritzker has no base because his base right now is frustrated with him. I mean, if it’s him against the Republican, yeah, his base will support J.B. for the most part. However, if it’s two Democrats, and one of them is J.B. Pritzker, they’re going to support whoever the other guy is because J.B. Pritzker has been a horrible leader in Illinois. Not as bad as Bruce Rauner, mind you, but J.B. Pritzker has been a pretty bad leader, and he has sold out his base.
Interesting perspective! I think you’re onto something with the idea that voters feel disconnected from the party they once relied on for labor and middle-class support. A lot of folks, especially in places like Illinois, seem frustrated that local leadership is prioritizing political aspirations over real needs at home. It’s tough when people feel overlooked by those in power, and it’s no surprise that some are looking for alternatives, even in unexpected places. As for the Democrats, the lack of an open primary does feel counterproductive. If the party wants to maintain broad support, especially with new voices gaining traction, a more transparent process would help. Your point about Newsom as a possible 2024 nominee makes sense - if they want to bring energy and something different to the ticket. Let’s see what happens, but you’re right; a lot of voters seem ready for change, both locally and nationally.
Love it
Thank you. I appreciate you stopping by!
wow you don't have to give way to pedestrians on zebra crossings in the USA? People would yell and throw things at you in my country, haha.
No in our country you can ride past them. Unfortunately
Nice scooter. How do you like the scooters quality and features? I’ve read you posted your weight/ height and we are the same height and I weigh slightly less. How has the speed advertised been with your use? Also how are the shocks and brakes? I know they are not hydraulic or coiled suspension, but I guess it’s a take off from an off-road scooter like the leopard pro
I have enjoyed the scooter 🛴 up until recently it was my daily driver. The quality is as advertised. I can hit 31 and the part that really surprised 😱 me is the hill climbing and the range. I got this scooter in the middle of the winter and it has served me well. I have put over 500 miles on the scooter and it has kept up with me so far. The brakes are good but do not expect the stopping power of the hydraulic brakes. They will stop you though
Thanks for your feedback. I truly appreciate it. I’ve been hearing from reviews that on the lower modes the speeds do not reach as advertised and when I see your review/ weight I knew it would relate to me if I buy this for commuting. Aside from brakes/ suspension/ power I like the weight because compared to a g3 pro the punk would appeal more to carry on mass transit let’s say. How do you rate the rubber suspension especially in bumpy roads?
@@hhova29@hhova29 If you’ve seen my other videos, you’ll know I use the Punk Rider Pro and take it on public trains daily. It’s definitely smaller than a Kukir G3 Pro, but if you’re coming from a G3 Pro, remember that these are road tires. I have a video of my first rear tire blowout, which was a bit of a hassle. I managed to change the tire, but it’s something to consider when looking at your purchase. I’m not sure if you’ll commute by bus, boat, or train, but think about how much space you’ll have when traveling.
Thanks for your reply. I would definitely have to check out your channel and see those videos to give me more of an idea of the punk pro. I live in a metro area and when I saw this scooter I figured it would appeal for commuting. I do take mass transit/ bus, but figure in my area the g3 pro or even maybe the Austin leopard pro will appeal better for me. So you saying the maintenance will be fit with the punk? I saw a similar review that a plus is they have all the parts, but a con would be by its construction would not be easy to service.
@@hhova29 Hey, thanks for following up! Glad you're interested in checking out the channel; it will give you a good feel for how the Punk Rider Pro handles in a city environment. Living in a metro area and using mass transit, I need something portable and powerful. The Punk Rider Pro is built like a tank, which really sets it apart from scooters like the G3 Pro or Austin Leopard Pro. While they're both solid options, the Punk Pro's dual motors and sturdy frame give it an edge for city riding-especially if you're dealing with hills, traffic, or rougher roads. The power and stability are a game-changer for navigating city streets with confidence. As for maintenance, the Punk Rider Pro might be more involved in repairs because of its construction. But honestly, this will only be a big drawback if you plan to do hardcore maintenance yourself. The plus side is that parts are available if needed, which can be rare for scooters in this range. And since it's built to last, you likely won't have to worry about a lot of upkeep in the first place. If you're bringing it on the bus, the weight and portability might be considerations, but thanks to its foldability and compact frame, I've found it manageable. It's also designed with rugged tires and a solid suspension, which means you'll have a comfortable ride and less worry about sudden bumps or unexpected potholes on your commute. So, the Punk Rider Pro could be the perfect fit if you're looking for something that's built tough for the city and can handle daily transit without constant upkeep. Let me know if there's anything else you want to know about it!
I like the Punk Rider but I wouldn’t trust to bring it out in rain. Apollo Go works perfectly in heavy rain.
I think when you spend a bit more time with the punk rider pro you might see how good it is in the rain ☔️. Btw I have been trying to find a quick charger for my Apollo go. Do you have a link I can track one down?
@@MrMotoMotivate yeah be careful though. Apollo cancelled their quick charger because they didn’t trust it. See below for the link with this charger which again is not rated or recommended by myself or Apollo Also remember to watch this charger when you get it and be very very careful. Also it will charge up go 91% max. So, I finally got the charger yesterday. I had forgotten to charge my Go the night before, so it was the perfect time to test it out. I really appreciate you sharing that charger with me. It works great! I plugged it into my Anker SOLIX C300 Portable Power Station to make sure it wouldn’t cause any trouble and burn down my house. But guess what? Nothing happened! It worked exactly as advertised. I was so happy to see the Go charging in the Anker app. Thanks a bunch, Shadow!
@@MrMotoMotivateHappy I could help but still going to caution you to be careful and note let’s say your down to 50 percent and charge it for a hour and half it will charge to 91% it might show it’s at 100% but that’s an error in the Battery Management System. This charger is great for long trips where you need to stop and charge somewhere. The question now becomes what are some great scooter charging spots
@@HisShadowX Now, that’s an excellent question. Since I carry my charger and Anker in my backpack, I can conveniently charge my scooter anywhere I want. It’s fantastic to have sufficient charge to quickly get back on the road. I wonder if there’s an app similar to Tesla’s that displays charging locations. That would be incredibly valuable to our community.
The brake isn't a brake? Hmm...
From where you fell I would check the handlebar lights to make sure those haven't been damaged and you can still take off the cap. I've fallen a few times on this scooter (first time riding) and it's still held up really well. Only issue is the handlebar caps on it are really cheap, so they can break in a way where it make's it impossible to take it off and makes it hard to be able to put on other ones if the pieces break inside of the grooves. And yeah, you're right about the back of that grip tape. Even with adding more glue to mine I've had a hard time being able to keep that on. But nit picks aside, the only real issue with this scooter is the range, but you already have another scooter for that.
When I got home, I checked the caps and had to change one because my right cap cracked. I know the end caps aren’t protected. I’ll try Gorilla Glue on my deck this weekend to see if it helps. The same thing happened on my Punk Rider Pro. Once I put Gorilla Glue on the mat, it hasn’t moved. It’s amazing how effective that stuff is.
@@MrMotoMotivate Yeah gorillla glue will keep them in place. That's what I ended up doing on my end caps as they kept falling off. Before you do that though see if you can get apollo to send you some replacement caps if you still have the warranty for the original owner. When mine broke it ended up breaking one of the lights, but I ended up getting 2 caps with a new light. Otherwise they're cheap so not a big deal if you don't.
be careful out there. same thing happened with my scooter
Aww, thanks. After a few rides, I see this scooter really does rely on the regenerative brake.
How was your Monday commute? I'm actually scared to take my Punk Rider Pro downtown all the way as of yet. I did get a, I want to say 20 miles in on the Punk Rider Pro. I would have did more, but sadly there's a lot of construction on 294.
My first day on the Apollo Go was a success. I kept reminding myself that it’s not a small Punk Rider Pro. I’m accustomed to zipping around at 31 mph. It takes a lot of effort to slow down to 25 mph, but the portability was incredibly convenient when I jumped on the Metra to go home today. It was definitely worth it!
oof. sorry moto. glad you're ok. 🛴❤
Yep have to get back up and get back on. Thanks for stopping by Scoot
@@MrMotoMotivate exactly what i had to do after getting hit by a car 👀 that was many 1000s of miles ago though
I’m glad you are ok!! Be careful brother, great review!
Thank you! Yep, still up and kicking! good to see you
I’m taking notes as I am watching. First start using the regenerative break more. If you haven’t go into the app and you can use it at maximum setting and it feels good. I almost never use the regular break unless there is an emergency. So in this case this is what’s different from the Punk Rider you can use the regenerative break without worrying about shut downs. You also have to be more careful when on sidewalks with the Apollo Go. It’s honestly safer to ride on paths and streets. Be very careful on sidewalks also make sure you change the speeds. You can go in and change them for each gear. My Apollo Go has a sidewalk speed and traffic speed. 3:58 Haha the back lip isn’t going to come off like the Punk Rider pro. Now what will happen is the hook will eventually just keep falling down lol 4:33 I warned you lol you’re going to feel the bumps on the Apollo Go. You have to be very careful when it comes to bumps and going into pot holes. Well, the Apollo Go is fine with what it does, it isn’t designed to handle Chicago streets lol. 8:51 Dude the piece isn’t going to come off. Lol The Punk Rider has you paranoid. All that is, is tape that you can put back on in fact Apollo teaches you on how go take it on and off in their repair channel but just leave it on. I’m going to be honest you should have just bought the new Apollo Phantom which has the look of the Go and Pro with features your used to. Also don’t let that little beast fool you its dual motor. Also if you do your research you can buy a super charger for it though it’s not recommended. Apollo cancelled the Go super charger this summer but you can buy them off of amazon and get up to 91% in two hours half or if your near 50 an hour and a half. Imagine riding the Apollo Go down Roosevelt road in Cicero through Broadview (I have done it) imagine riding all the way on 16th I have done it. Now imagine riding the Apollo go from Oakbrook on Cermack from Oak Brook Mall east I have done it. The Apollo Go is amazing but you felt its drawbacks. Remember that thing is a beast but it is still very weak in certain areas. Also the tires suck.
I agree that the tires need to be changed. However, I’m curious about how long you can ride on them. If the Phantom is built like the Punk Rider Pro, then yes, I’ll get it. However, that top speed of the Stellar version has my attention, although I’m still researching both.
@@MrMotoMotivate At 240 pounds going in and out of max speed you can get about 16 miles. This is what I got during the summer.
@@HisShadowX yeah I noticed the range is about what I thought it would be. It’s good for commuting around the city..i have other vehicles that will go the distance if I need it
@@GiovanniHale Yes as I mentioned a fast charger is great I also have one and use it in metra stations of stores if I noticed I am running out of juice
@@HisShadowX Where did you get yours. I will just pick one up and keep it in my bag.
Put your regenerative breaks to maximum. Also you can use your regenerative breaks more then your regular breaks. I almost never use my regular breaks on my Apollo Go
Yeah I learned that the hard way. But coming from the punk rider pro the breaking is so much smoother
Did you have to send your first PRP back to Punk? How was the return process? Would you recommend a PRP scooter?
Yes I did send the first PUNK RIDER PRO (PRP) back to PunkElectric. Glad you asked about the return process. It was pretty easy. I made a video about the process. Customer service did respond to my request and I sent the first vehicle back due to the vehicle shut off to often. Would I recommend the PRP? yes I would but ensure you know what you are getting yourself into. The vehicle is fast and gets up to speed quickly. If you want to see it in action, just watch a few of my videos. Next make sure you are ok with the weight. Finally calculate the cost of the tire changes as you will need to change tires
@@GiovanniHale Thank you for the reply. Regarding the "tire changes". Do you mean the tire changes in general, or do you actually have to change the factory tires right from the jump...because they suck? The tire changing maintenance is my biggest hesitation, because I'm always hearing about how much of a pain on the a** it is to change a tire on a scooter. Thanks again!
You’re very welcome! I meant the actual tire change. I don’t think you need to change them when you first get the scooter. I believe you should get used to using the scooter first. Then, after you get used to it, I might consider tire changes. But the tire change takes about an hour and a half, maybe two hours. My caution to you is to make sure you consider that you’ll need to take very small screws out because it’s a split rim. Other than that, the tire change itself wasn’t horrible. It just took longer than I expected. If you have some apprehension about the tires, I might consider looking at some other options. But based on the diameter of the tires, I didn’t find many options that fit on the scooter. You may find something else.
I got a question I just got the scooter and the app is sort of funny acting. Looks like this scooter will turn off after idling. I haven’t rode it yet. So I see you can set a top speed but can’t you do this for each gear or do you know if this is in a different setting? Also do you know if there is a way to change Celsius to Fahrenheit? I plan on riding this after work tomorrow and give it a maiden voyage.
First off let’s say congratulations is certainly in order. Yes you can change it by gear 1-3 in the app. It’s a horrible app because they are using an app that is used by other companies so it’s a bit strange but it does work as long as you have a Bluetooth connection. If it ever starts to close on you. Just close the app and reopen it. It works every time . Did you record the unboxing?
Hmm what I mean is for example I want gear 1 max speed 10 mph gear 2 15mph and gear 3 mph. Apollo has spoiled me with the ability to edit my speed settings
@@HisShadowX Unfortunately, until the company releases its own app, we won’t have the level of detail were looking for. For now, we’ll have to work with our limited information. The top speed for each gear is as follows: gear 1 is 13 mph, gear 2 is 20 mph, and gear 3 is 32 mph. I can confirm that these are the exact speeds.
@@GiovanniHale thanks for the info. So I was able to limit the device to 20mph. I’ll say this in terms of the Apollo Go turning feels better on the go and the electric breaks. Mine gave out when I was testing this in Hines, Illinois today. It went from being extremely powerful to weak. I haven’t had it cut off in my just yet but I seen that was a major problem for people. The rear foot mat is coming off and it just came like that I never used that part of the scooter. The power button was literally falling off I had to push it back in. The scooter looks very nice but I am not a fan of the turning. Overall I don’t think I’ll be returning the scooter but I am going to be cautious when riding this scooter
@@HisShadowX I will admit it does take some time to get used to that turn, but once you get into the lean you will become a natural. Just trust me on that one. You have to take it out for a distance ride. Are you thinking of doing it this weekend?
A lighter version of this same scooter will just mean you’ll get less mileage and speed. Essentially, the reason why some of these scooters are so heavy is because of the battery. Now, you’ve got two choices. Either you go real fast with a hyper scooter, but you have less range, or you go a little bit slower, but you get more range. Unfortunately, these are technical limitations of the batteries at this moment. I’m hoping this will be solved so we could indeed get lighter scooters. I don’t necessarily want a fast scooter anymore. I used to. But what I want is a scooter that can reliably go the distance. However, also have a scooter I could easily pick up and bring back and forth.
For me I thought the Apollo Go was a solid choice. I guess I just have to buy it to make sure I am right
@@MrMotoMotivateHmm. It sounds like you really want the Apollo Go. I think you try it. Honestly it’s a great choice tire changes just suck but overall i am not throwing away my Apollo Go. Also a thread I started on Apollo’s reddit got them to change so things for the new Phantom which will not price gouge purchasers. Take a look at Apollo Phantom the new one coming out.
@@HisShadowX I was looking at the stellar version. I have to look it over again to see how it compares. The components look good on it.
You’re a good one because I would have taken my scooter right into the store. And I’ve done so numerous times. I don’t think there’s been a place where I have not been able to bring my scooter in. Sometimes I might have to fold it up, depending on the building-like if it’s an office building downtown or a doctor’s office. Usually, security will have me fold it up. Other than that, there is no way I am leaving my scooter outside unless I’m locking it up. But I do have a question. You did mention that you use the front and back brakes. Now, I’ve owned at least four scooters at this point. The fourth is going to be your scooter, which is coming in the mail. The second scooter was front and rear-wheel drive, but it malfunctioned. I ended up going over the handlebars when it accidentally engaged the front brake. I’m curious to know, do you pull both brakes or just one when you want to engage the regular brakes? I like using the regenerative brakes, but there have been emergencies, even on my Apollo Go, where people turned into me. Even in a protected bike lane on Lake Street, for example, where a person has a right turn, they don’t look-they look left instead of right. I’ve had to use all my brakes, plus regen, and also kind of make a right turn to stop. So, how do you use your brakes?
In January 2024, I began riding my scooters. My first scooter was a Niu KQI 2. I had never driven an electric vehicle before that day. I've learned a few things about braking. On the Punk Rider Pro, I usually use the rear brake. However, when I need to make a quick stop, I use both the front and rear drum brakes. Even with the rear drum brake, it has a long stopping distance in the rain.
@@MrMotoMotivate So it sounds like both me and you got started riding at the same time. I essentially, right after that cold front that we had, where it was, what, negative 15 or 20, right when some of that snow melted in January, that’s when I started riding. I had already bought my vehicle, and I sort of had to wait. Now, I had something sort of similar to yours, your first one. The only difference was I did not have, it looks like, I think that one has regen braking. I didn’t have that. It was like one of the older pros of another brand from at least a year and a half ago. And it was extremely outdated now. But the only good thing about it was it had shocks. So when you went over something, it didn’t feel as bad. Okay, so I think I’m going to do what you recommend and, well, not what you recommend, but what you’re saying you use the rear brakes, because I think that’s the smart move, because you hit those front brakes, and you end up going over the handlebars when it lifts the rear up. And that’s actually what happened to me once. And keep in mind, that was a hyper scooter that went up to 50 miles an hour, and it completely malfunctioned. Okay, thanks for the information, man. I’m really looking forward to getting the Punk Rider. Unfortunately, they just delayed it until Sunday, but I think we’re getting rain this weekend, so I’ll have to test this out next week.
get those miles!!! higher inflation has def made a difference for my battery life, but it's also a bit of a rougher ride. ride safe! 🛴❤
Question have you tried to ride your scooter back home? Taking Lake Street all the way to the prairie path and prairie path to near st Charles ?
Not yet. I typically use it as my last mile commute.
@@GiovanniHaleI am going to have to test this scooter out when I get it. Already planned my trip. The ten hour charge sounds awful I would check to see if there is a super charger for it but since this scooter is not UL Certified I think I’ll hold off on that
@@HisShadowX Yeah that long charge is not a fun time at all.
15 to 20 miles per hour depending on the part of the trip
14:09 I’m sorry you said you made it 17 miles? What was the weather out on that day if you remember? Amazing. 17 miles would have me on fumes with my Apollo Go
It was about 72 that day
@@GiovanniHaleOh so warm. Thats pretty good. Mileage is looking good on that machine. Can’t wait to hit the trails at night and commuting to work
1:35 Not only that but you also live in the Chicagoland area which is important since you get to experience the deep freeze and see what it is really like
what was your average speed you went at in this ride?
The wobble isnt the scooter its your foot placement
It such a fun scooter ive had no problems all month
If you dont select critical on the support ticket they dont review it im waiting for support my regen brakes are stuck on on my front wheel it just locked up while riding
What? OMG 😱 are you ok. That can be dangerous. How did they get stuck?
I have no clue i was riding normally i pressed down on my regen brake to slow down coming up on a turn snd they just aggressively locked up i had to push it home with it making a rubbing noise and now it makes a knocking noise when i turn the scooter on or hit the brakes its unridable now until i get it replaced or they tell me how to fix it
It just wont deactivate at all im kind of wishing i didnt get a scooter with this feature now
Your in Chicago! I ride my Apollo go in the mornings. I hit 250 miles each month. Yeah my Go gets a lot of attention and I get people with a lot of questions. lol rode my go from the west suburbs to downtown
@@HisShadowX yes I work in the West Loop so i take the train in everyday. How has it handled the streets so far? I have been so on the fence about the GO, if it can handle like a 225lb rider. Or will it feel like a toy…so just been on the fence.
@@GiovanniHale when I got the Apollo Go I was 250. I am now 225 and rode in 30 degree weather. I have owned three scooters so far and I ordered the Punk Rider Pro today due to the fact tire changes look WAY easier. The worst part of the Go is the fact it barely has any shocks and yeah you’ll feel every bump. Early last month I had a huge wipe out on 16th Ave due to small pothole. Everyone likes the Go it’s easy to pick up and yeah I have rode it down 16th Ave from where it begins to ends. I have rode Cermack from Oak Brook Mall to Westchester and it rides good people said it literally looks like I am flying.
@@GiovanniHale one more thing to add is the tire changes are hell and also the app does have a glitch to where the speed won’t match to the app when you first get it. You just factory reset your scooter and this issue fixes itself
@@HisShadowX Well i will say with the punk rider pro. when i changed the back tire when it popped on me it was pretty easy. Total cost was about 250 for the tire. Motor was just fine. Keep in mind the punk rider pro is certainly going to be heavier then the go and faster. I would love to join you on a ride if you up for that type of thing.
@@GiovanniHaleThe Go isn’t ready for that type of ride sadly. I’m waiting in the Punk Rider to ship out. I definitely recommend checking out the Salt Creek trail it’s an amazing path I haven’t ridden that from Oak Brook to Brookfield but I might try it out with the punk rider. I also highly recommend looking for scooter groups I know up north they do have riding clubs
Good video. Sounds like there's a short somewhere that is causing that issue.
I think there might be one, but after the app update, things work much smoother.
Hey hey! So your scooter would turn off specifically when using the regen throttle when going downhill? Is the scooter usually near full charge when going down that hill?
Yes it was typically a full charge. I learned after working with the support team that you are not to use the Regen throttle while the vehicle is fully charged. Since finding that out and modifying my riding behavior. It’s a non issue!
@@MrMotoMotivate that’s great to hear! On the Apollo GO they also have a warning about not using regen brake lever until you’re below 90%. I didn’t even think about that with this scooter. It sounds like that power off behavior is basically a protection mechanism. Great info.
Tempted to get one but I keep reading about the awful Segway customer support.
@@PaulMathias1 I would say if you can find it used. I would go with that. They are great. If you can deal with the weight you will certainly be rewarded with a reliable mode of transportation.
I'm in the process of changing the rear wheel tire it's been hell trying to get the tire in. Bought some zip ties and big jaw pliers should be here today 😢 body sore
@@deathswaitingroom9841 Wow, I haven’t changed the rear tire yet. I’ve heard people say tire changes can be difficult. Let me know how long it takes.
The reason it shuts off is because it has a low voltage shut off feature
environmentalists gonna be pranked so hard when they find out this is not gas powered🤣
hi are you still using your punk rider pro? I have mine and experience the random shut down as well.
I made a video about what I had to do when that started happening to me. Yes I still use my punk rider pro for my daily commute
@@MrMotoMotivate is it the replacement already?
@@makusadventure6130 yes it has been replaced. Once I got the second scooter i do not experience it as much. It normally cuts off only when I push the vehicle too fast on wet ground

Seeing they sell the parts to replace your self i ordered one cant wait for it deliver
Please let me know when yours arrives. I’m sure you will enjoy it
I want to buy one but if it turns off randomly i deff might reconsider have you figured out the error ?
I experience this with the single hub motor Using it for 8km a day, it happens when im going home and my commute includes climbing a bridge But when I replaced with Dual hub..Never had any issue. Single hub is only for very short disbtances and any climbing ( can be done) is not recommended for single hub( power issue)
My vehicle would turn off when two actions happened repeatedly. First, during rain when I take off, the wheels start spinning, causing the vehicle to turn off to combat the wheel spin. Second, when going downhill and using regenerative braking, the vehicle would turn off. To combat this issue, I use the drum brakes when going downhill and put the vehicle in gear 2 or turn the starting torque down. This has only happened a handful of times, and I’m under 500 miles on the vehicle.
Wow, I solute you brother, a motivational view for me to see, single father of 4 recently started riding a scooter only form of joy in years other then my children, life at a stand still, on a new found spiritual journey
Thank you. It is deeper journey then you can image. It will change your life. Just trust me on that one 1️⃣
I love my punk rider pro the way it is so i wouldn't buy a smaller one but a short person might.
in your gear 2 what is the max kph
I can reach a speed of 32 kilometers per hour while in second gear. I am 6 feet 1 inch tall and weigh 230 pounds without gear.
in what application did you get the speedometer?
