Petrified Forest National Park - Giant Logs Loop Trail
Hiking in Petrified Forest National Park can be a challenge with kids, but even in the heat, a family can do it as long as they stay hydrated. The Painted Desert and the Petrified Forest make for a great family outing. Just bring plenty of water, and food, and give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the day. National Parks are great places for families to be together.

Can you do the Dunes Climb with Kids? Absolutely!! Even though the National Park Service says that the Dunes Climb trail is the most strenuous trail in the park, it is a great place to take the kids and let them play! The Blue Angels were spectacular in their 2nd Air Show at the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, MI! We had the opportunity to go camping in Northern Michigan, and we timed it to see the Blue Angels Air Show in Traverse City during the National Cherry Festival in 2024!
