Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (Cover)
An acoustic cover of 'Wish You Were Here' by Pink Floyd.
This song is one of my all time favourites. It always reminds me of my mum, because she used to sing it all the time. Really lovely memories surround this tune and I wanted to share my version of it with you guys, so I hope you enjoyed :)

Oliver Anderson - Doctor - Purple Heart Sessions
Переглядів 3821 день тому
A live acoustic rendition of my original song, 'Doctor' recorded at Purple Heart Studios. 'Doctor' is an indie folk/rock song written about my teachers telling me I should pursue something more academic than a music career. Purple Heart Studios has an incredible way of capturing live music and making it sound like a fully produced track, while maintaining the rawness of a live performance. A hu...

Переглядів 56Місяць тому
I wrote a new song about a break up I went through about 5 years ago. Today I'm telling the story of a relationship that ended quite sadly, and then playing a song for you at the end (which I wrote during the breakup) called 'Burning Leaves'. Thanks for listening :) 0:00 - Intro 0:13 - Story 1:47 - Song

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds might be an okay song were it not for that abortion of a chorus.
“Found my way upstairs and had a smoke; and somebody spoke and I went into dream…”
Two songs that were intended for Sgt Pepper that got pulled early in order to release a single is Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane. These are worth listening to also. Imaging having them included on this album as intended. It would have been awesome!
Sgt. Pepper is the second-worst Beatles album -- just ahead of Let It Be.
There’s always one of you…
No
oh
Wonderful reaction. Helped me calm my anxiety down. Thank you🖤.
Loved your comment - how would it be to listen to this, stoned. I did, back in '67. I was at a party - conventional until after midnight, booze, girls, dancing etc. As the pace flagged, my mate put this newly-purchased album on the turntable and someone else handed round some pot. The album stayed on repeat for several hours!
I'm here for it
Cool Video. Get that Audio up! Can't hear you guys lol
I feel like you might really like the album magical mystery tour by the Beatles if you like the experimental music on sgt peppers! Also let it be is such a PHENOMENAL album I would also recommend this 😭 keep up the good vids 🙏
Very good 😂 i think we need a video tour of that guitar (whos sound clearly NOT been affected by the paint !!!)
Just a tidbit jet is based on the Paul McCartney song, who worships him and the Beatles.
Baby boy, they teach this album in college music classes here in NYC. Much love! ❤
Just an note for the future: Some things are not to be interrupted, due to flow, which is the entire point of the song....the flow. Intros, Interludes, and medleys, for one. It is punishable by death, or should be, to disturb these things. Another one: Music of India. "Within you without you" will haunt you with bad karma if you disrupt it. Sorry for the rest of your life, pal, but you did it. George didn't do that to you.
well, they tended to evolve their songs. So much they'd come in with a rough idea, and work it and morph it, while other times they came in with complete songs. They tended to put out the mono versions as being the main sell. Their stereo versions that started about maybe with rubber soul? They did tend to pan extremely and experimentally. I think if done today they would not have done that. I think they all preferred mono. I know I prefer their mono versions. They were a mono kind of band. It suited them. Probably because all elements of the song, including the song as a whole thing, were equally important, so should be heard that way.
Great episode!
Great reaction young man to a classic album
"BEING FOR THE BENEFIT OF MR KITE" - Lennon basically took the lyrics from a circus poster in his house.
"Mr. Kite" was inspired by a billing Poster for a circus!
Four words: Listen to Revolver next.
Amazing reaction to one of the greatest rock albums ever made. It was the first record I ever had, although I believe it was a Christmas present.
Nice shirt.
dude, im from türkiye and you pop-up to my explore page. Everthing is possible. Also a lovely cover, keep on playin' this great song:)
keep it up
Thank you :)
That’s actually a good song
Cheers!!
Lovely ❤
That was good! Yours was sadder while the original is filled with feminine rage. I was kinda hoping you'd look at the bridge though 😭
@@nataterraturzelle8584 I have since learned that the bridge is the famous part🤣😭
Remember George Harrison and Ravi Shankar learn how to play the sitar and other Indian instruments
nice
39:55 I really thought the same thing when I got HEAVY into the Beatles (and 60s music in general). Funny thing is, that caused me to be blinded by new(er) music. People are still creating amazing music with their heart and soul but its not "pop" music the same way the beatles were. An album I can recommend you listen to (off the top of my head) would be Amperland by Pinegrove. Just a sonically rich album with great songwriting. Not Sgt Peppers but still an amazing album in its own right.
The genre is "Beatles"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Eleanore Rigby" is strings galore!
Sgt. Pepper is a fine album.....but have you checked out Rubber Soul or Revolver yet?
1:Way down we go-Kaleo✅ And the others no lol 🚫
How do you not know naive😭😭
Okay listen i hear country influences in her music and finally seeing the chords it made sense! I love your version too!! ❤
Less Yapping...More Listening. Please.
Great little site for that, it’s called Spotify
You could react to "Dark side of the moon" by Pink Floyd
The Kinks did several "concept" albums. The best of these imho is the brilliant, but much ignored, "Schoolboys in Disgrace." No doubt you will ignore it, too. 😢
So relaxing watching a Brit react to Sgt Peppers. Americans constantly say: "What does it Mean???" They never shut up and enjoy the show.
Love to hear that you enjoyed :) cheers for commenting
I would do the same thing with Revolver. It's incredible.
Will do this next!! Loads of people telling me to, sounds like a plan
Next up you might want to listen to the Beatles “Revolver” album, it was released in August of 1966. While Sgt. Pepper was groundbreaking in 1967 for many reasons, many Beatles fans consider “Revolver” to be their best album song by song. When Bob Dylan introduced the Beatles to weed in August of 1964 in a room at the Delmonico Hotel in New York City it literally changed everything for them. When they began taking LSD in 1965 after they recorded the “Rubber Soul” album it was an even bigger transformation. When you listen to “Revolver” it will be immediately obvious that they had taken acid. No, they didn’t record the music on acid because it would come out good, but they ideas for the music and the lyrics absolutely show that they had “turned on” to acid. The last song on “Revolver” was “Tomorrow Never Knows” and it was extremely shocking in 1966 because it was so “far out”.
SOO UNDERRATED 😢 😻
@@Prii_118 thank you :)))
Amazing ‼️😍 and u heard skinny because of meee 😅 the last time I watched this video it had 1 like and 2 views 😭 great to see the amount you have now 😊
Such a sad song😭😭😭thank you for showing me that!
The Beatles IS the genre - they were a force and an entity. Just about every band that followed cite The Beatles as ground breaking, and a direct influence on their music including Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Nirvana, Oasis - all legends themselves. If not for The Beatles, the music we love today would sound very different. They revolutionized music engineering and production, and weren’t afraid to experiment.
Please reaction to George Harrison - Try Some Buy Some
'They lived life, and they put it in an album.' That's perfect. The best albums often reflect something bigger than themselves.
Sickkk
Thank you :)))
Great reaction. Thank you.
I'm glad you think so man!
This album exhibits a characteristic of a lot of pop music at the time, which is the very deliberate splitting of instruments and tracks into left and right and center. There’s a track on here, “Good Morning, Good Morning” we’re towards the end if you listen, you can hear a pack of dogs running through your head via the use of stereo. You don’t get the experience just listening to the album off of phone, you either need headphones or an actual quality speaker system. It adds a whole new dimension to it.
P.S. Great reaction. I particularly like how you pick up on similarities between these songs and songs by other artists, either melody or overall sound.
I'll have to go back and have another listen to that!! Thanks for letting me know
Thanks so much, I'm glad you think so :))
gg bro
Cheers mate :)
