Umar doesn't talk from a logical conversation. Not at all. He is not talking to anyone. He is not talking about moving our people forward. He is only saying the same five things. I would mention the historians Flavius Josephus and Tacitus to establish Jesus as a historical figure who actually lived and died as the Bible claims. As far as Jesus being the Christ, that would take study of the historical text known as the Bible, which is one of the oldest texts known to man. Grace for this man I believe he’s a baby in Christ. I think this man lacks relationship with the Holy Spirit. He’s just unaware of how close people can be with God and how he actually guides you daily in everything and you don’t just read about him in the bible.

This guy is so busy fighting for the church and wearing his religion on his sleeve that he can't see the forest for the trees. People like him are a waste of time for Dr. Umar to spend time with.

Megan, your spirit was so patient and kind through this. This was the epitome of meeting someone where they're at without compromising truth. Just to be clear, Christianity is not to be "marketed" or "sold". God seeks for us to serve Him and encounter Him based on being told the truth, His truth. If someone doesn't think the gospel sounds desirable, then that's between them and God and we can disciple them through that. We're called to teach Christ and Christ crucified and to trust God to transform the hearts of those that He called.
